Rusty sighed heavily, his entire weight collapsing on top of Blake without warning, leaving him winded.
It was good, though. He felt safe under Rusty’s body, even with the suddenly sauna-like air making his lungs feel tight.
He grunted as Rusty’s cock slipped out of him, squirming at the strange, sudden emptiness after being full for so long.
After another moment, Rusty picked himself up and rolled over, collapsing onto the other side of the bed and spreading out. Blake did the same, gingerly, most of his muscles protesting every movement.
He was going to be sore in the morning, but it was so worth it.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” Rusty said, laughter in his voice.
Blake laughed, joy welling up in his chest at the thought. This was the first Valentine’s Day where he hadn’t felt alone since he was a kid.
“You too,” Blake responded once he was sure he could trust his voice. It was a little rough, but he thought he got the point across.
“Not bad for a wedding night, huh?” Rusty asked, sitting up with a bone-deep groan of effort. “Bit of a shame that it’s not for real.”
A tiny, tight ball of happiness settled in Blake’s chest at the thought that Rusty was, maybe, not entirely joking about that.
That someone hadpickedhim.
It meant a lot more to Blake than he knew it should have, but right now, he could play pretend.
That was the whole point of Vegas. To escape who you really were and have a little fun.
The thought of someone wanting to be with him forever was, more or less, Blake’s idea of fun. Maybe that was pathetic, but it was what he wanted most in the world.
At least he’d gotten a taste of it. That’d tide him over for a while.
He forced himself to sit up as well, watching Rusty pour two glasses of water and bring them over. Blake reached out to accept it, tapping on the carved crystal that was a lot fancier than it needed to be, and sighing happily.
“It is kind of a shame,” he agreed belatedly. “That was… good.”
Good was an understatement.
“That was the warm-up round,” Rusty said, tilting his head back to swallow down his water.
Blake watched his throat work, licking his lips. Warm-up round.
So there wasmore?
“Drink up,” Rusty said once he’d finished his glass. “Gotta stay hydrated if I’m keeping you up all night.”
Blake blushed at the thought, sipping his water. “I’ll need a minute to recover, I think.”
Rusty nodded. He didn’t seem opposed to that idea at all.
“We can… watch TV and cuddle on the couch or something, if you want?” he asked.
Blake grinned. He liked the sound of that. “I want,” he said. “I’m glad I met you. You’ve made my vacation a whole lot more fun.”
“Feeling’s mutual,” Rusty said. “You want first crack at the shower, or are you coming to join me?” He stood, heading for the bathroom.
Blake swallowed down the rest of his water in a hurry, scrambling to follow him. He wasn’t going to pass up an opportunity like that.
Not everyone got to have an amazing first time with a partner who was fun to be around and willing to take care of them. He’d managed to hit the jackpot in Vegas after all.
And best of all, no one back in Hope Springs would ever have to know about any of this.
