Another jolt of arousal hit him as he felt Scott come as well, a thick spurt against his stomach that tickled the sensitive skin there, Scott’s hips rocking in time with his own, both of them riding out the aftershocks hard and fast as they finished, then slowing as they came down.

For a few moments, all Charlie could do was cling to Scott and pant to catch his breath, swallowing to wet his dry throat.

Scott started laughing once he’d almost caught his breath, gasping for air between deep, heartfelt chuckles.

“Good morning to you, too,” he said, grinning at his own sense of humor.

Charlie huffed softly, rolling onto his back. “It’s a good morning now.”

“Gimme fifteen minutes and we can do that again, if you want,” Scott said.

“I haven’t got fifteen minutes to wait, or I’d take you up on that.” Charlie sighed, promising himself he’d get up in just a second.

Maybe ten seconds.

Thirty, maximum.

“So… would asking to see you again tonight be too clingy? Do you need space yet?”

Charlie stared up at the ceiling, his heartbeat speeding up again at the question. Scott wanted to spend more time with him. Even after all the time they’d spent together.

Normally, hewouldhave needed space by now. Any other person would have made him feel claustrophobic.

Not Scott. He wanted to spend as much time with Scott as he could. It never felt like enough.

“Do you wanna meet me after work?” Charlie said in response. “Or you could drop by for lunch, even. I’m not sure what your schedule looks like today.”

“I could do lunch,” Scott said. Charlie grinned at how eager he sounded, finally sitting up.

Now that he knew he only had to be away from Scott for a few hours, he could bring himself to leave.

He wanted to be with Scott all the time. It was more than a honeymoon period.

Scott felt like he belonged in Charlie’s life. Like he’d been missing from it this whole time, like there’d been a Scott-shaped hole that he’d filled perfectly.

“Awesome. Then I’ll see you around lunch time.” Charlie leaned over to peck Scott on the lips, lingering for just a second, just long enough for the rush of blood in his ears to quiet down.

Scott made him dizzy at the best of times. Being around him had felt good since they first met, so it was little wonder that Charlie didn’t like leaving.

He’d never felt like this before, and while that scared the hell out of him, he didn’t want it to stop.

He could feel Scott’s eyes on him as he gathered his clothes and pulled them on to make the walk home. A low wolf-whistle when he bent over made him blush.

“Thank you,” he said, glancing over at Scott. “But you know every dog in the house is gonna be outside your door now.”

Scott shrugged. “I need to keep warm somehow, if you’re going.”

Charlie laughed, pulling his sweater over his head. Therewasa chill in the air this morning, and he would have preferred to stay in the nice, warm bed, with Scott, for at least another few minutes.

Unfortunately, the real world was calling.

“I’ll make sure they all jump on you at once, then,” Charlie said. “You want me to turn the heating on when I leave?”

“Would you? I hate getting up in the cold.”

“Only because you’re so cute,” Charlie said, heading for the door. “I’ll see you at lunch.”

He opened the door to find all the dogs standing outside it, as expected. They all bounced excitedly as they greeted him, then three of them pushed past. Tripod, somehow, made it to the bed first and clambered up Scott’s chest, eager to lick his face.
