Oz smiled. “Come up here? I like you down there and all, but…”

Seth wriggled his way back up the bed, moving to face Oz. He couldn’t stop himself from grinning, his heart soaring at the thought that he could get used to this, too. Waking up next to Oz. Having him right there, all the time, forever if he wanted.

He did want. He’d never even considered forever with anyone else, but Oz…

Oz was different. He could almost believe that Oz was made especially for him, and he was made especially for Oz.

“I like you up here better,” Oz continued, smiling the warmest, sweetest smile Seth had ever seen.

This was a good choice. He was so sure of it that he felt like he might explode with joy.

“Please tell me you still have that bottle of lubricant in your nightstand.”

“I still have that bottle of lubricant in my nightstand,” Oz said, his face perfectly straight.

Seth raised an eyebrow. “Did you want to grab it and use it, or are you keeping it for posterity?”

Oz chuckled, rolling over to search through the drawer. “Shoulda said I was keeping it, but I don’t want you to murder me on our first day together.”

“I’d miss you if I murdered you, so you’re probably safe,” Seth said. “If you’re not in the mood, it’s okay.”

It really was okay. Seth wasn’t going to pretend he wouldn’t be a little disappointed, but he and Oz were still working out how they fit together. Having Oz beside him was more important than anything else.

Even sex.

That was how Seth knew this was the real thing.

“Believe me, I want this,” Oz said, rolling back over with lube and a condom wrapper in hand. “I want you. I’m so glad you’re here.”

“Show me,” Seth murmured, his voice catching at the thought of Oz not having to hold back this time.

All he’d ever wanted was to be loved, and he could feel love rolling off Oz in waves. Love for him.

Oz uncapped the lube, the click echoing in the otherwise silent room. A shiver of anticipation ran down Seth’s spine at the sound, arousal curling in his belly. He could get used to waking up like this, too. Even on a Monday morning.

Seth normally wasn’t a big fan of Mondays, but this one was already good enough to change his mind.

“Roll over,” Oz said softly, gesturing with his finger. “I wanna hold you.”

Seth turned over without argument. They’d tried this position once before, and it had felt almost too intimate at the time. Now that Seth didn’t have to worry about falling for Oz anymore, it would be perfect.

He bit his lip, jumping as Oz touched him. Every touch was like an electric shock, but not painful at all. Thrilling and surprising and not anything Seth was going to get tired of any time soon.

Oz rubbed his fingers over the sensitive skin of Seth’s entrance gently, the lube already warmed up. Of course. Oz was considerate like that. It was a small thing, but there were so many small things that added up with Oz. He was good down to his bones.

Better still, Oz wrapped his other arm around Seth, splaying his hand over his belly possessively. That felt good. Oz didn’t want to own him, but he did want to keep him safe. Seth could accept that.

He gasped as Oz pushed a finger inside him, closing his eyes to focus on everything else. He could feel the sunlight streaming through the curtains warming his skin, the gentle brush of Oz’s breath against his neck. Even over the sound of his own heartbeat, he could hear Oz’s as well, strong and steady, a little faster than it had been earlier when he was asleep.

Oz worked a knee between Seth’s legs, tangling their limbs together. His cock pressed into Seth’s back, hard and hot, making Seth gasp at the sensation. Oz was always so warm.

“Go slow for me?” Seth asked. Normally, he’d be impatient, but this morning was different. He could go back to being impatient later.

“You sure?” Oz asked, kissing the back of Seth’s neck to punctuate the question. A shiver ran down Seth’s spine.

“Just this once.”

“I’m not complaining,” Oz murmured. “We’ve got all the time in the world.”
