I bite down, drawing a soft moan from her parted, plump lips.
“Well?”
“Fine.” She gives in and finally tilts her head so she can kiss me.
That’s it, baby, don’t deny me what’s mine.
“And you’ll sleep over again,” I demand against her mouth.
She shakes her head. “I can’t. I need to be up at four.”
“Not a request. Pack a bag, Juliette.” I lean down, kiss her again, then step back. If I don’t stop now, I’ll never make my meeting. “I don’t care if you need to be up at one in the morning. I want you next to me until the very last second.” She stands there shocked, like she wants to fight me, but knows she wants to be there just as much as I need her there. “I’ll pick you up after my meeting at seven.”
Without waiting for an answer, I walk out, fearing what my mouth might demand next.

Juliette
My phone dings with a notification.“Can you check that for me?” I ask Becks, who is currently spread across my bed with her laptop working, as I get ready for my date with Harrison.
Just the thought of Harrison makes my heart race eagerly.
It’s been only two hours since I’ve seen him, and already, my body is excited for our night together.
“Harrison says to wear flats,” she reads aloud.
“What? Why?” I look down at my white fitted dress that I planned on pairing with a small block heel—anything to give me more height next to him.
“I’m not Harrison,” she answers dryly. “Do you want me to ask him?”
“Yes, please.” I sit down and open my makeup bag.
Only mascara and a bit of lip gloss for tonight, maybe some blush. Then, I brush out my curled hair so it becomes waves.
She snorts as she reads the message that comes through, then hands it to me.
Because I said so.
“Is he all demanding in the bedroom? It’s probably so hot,” she says, leaning back on my pillow and smiling at the ceiling.
“Matteo strikes me as someone who would be nothing short of demanding.”
Her smile widens. “Oh, trust me, he is, but Harrison is my boss. It’s all taboo and shit.”
“Matteo is your boss,” I deadpan.
“Barely. Harrison is like the big-time boss.”
I ignore her ridiculous rationality and text back Harrison.
Not good enough. If I’m wearing flats, is this place casual?
Yes.
How casual?
Juliette, baby, I’m trying to be calm, but I don’t have the time to talk about a woman’s wardrobe right now. I need to finish work, so I can pick you up. Be ready in thirty minutes.
