“I want to be with you…but I can’t promise a future… ” I trail off, hating the words. In another world, this outcome would be completely different. “In my life, right now, I can’t commit more. One night is usually good enough, but with you, deep down, I knew it never would be.” I search her eyes. “Say something,” I whisper.
“So what does this mean? I’m not made for one-night stands. That night nearly broke me.”
“What?” I ask, horrified.
She maneuvers our hands so our fingers interlock. “I’m not telling you this to make you feel bad. I’m an adult and made a decision to sleep with you. In the future, I’ll never do that with anyone again.” She thinks. “But…I’m not sure I want something so serious either. I do need commitment, though.”
“What do you mean? How is that different?”
She faces me fully. “You’re busy with your job and Claud. But if I’m sleeping with you, I need to know I’m the only one.” She pauses to look me in the eyes. “After a long, stressful day, I don’t want to come home and worry about what or who you’re doing.”
That’s an easy answer. “I wouldn’t want to be with anyone else. Exclusivity is a no-brainer for me, baby.” She chews on her bottom lip and taps her fingers quickly against my thigh. “What is it?”
“How does this work?” she asks uneasily. “Do I sit around and wait for you to call me?”
I lean forward to capture her back into my arms, bringing her close to my chest. “I think we just see when we’re free and go from there.”
She hums to herself. “Okay.”
“You’re not very convincing. Tell me what you want.”
“I don’t know…our schedule is all over the place. Maybe we can check in periodically.” She shrugs. “Something to know we’re still…whatever we are.”
“Try to keep me away.” The words slip out easily.
“So, is this considered…friends with benefits?”
Laughter rumbles from my chest. “The way you say it, you’d think you were the old one.”
Her head tilts to the side, looking up at me, her eyes sparkling with humor. “How the hell should I know? You know I’m inexperienced, and you’re not old.” She hits me in the leg. “And don’t look at me like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like it turns you on that I’m inexperienced.”
“Okay.” I grin, and she playfully hits me again, a ghost of a smile passing over her lips. “I can’t help it. It does turn me on.” I reach down and pull her hips back so she can feel my hard-on. “I’m in a perpetual state of discomfort because I think about fucking you all day, every day, like a goddamn teenager.”
Her tongue peeks out, seductively licking her lips before leaning into me to lick up the side of my neck. “Now,you canfuck me all day, every day.”
I inhale sharply.Fuck me.
This girl surprises me at every turn.
My hands travel up and down her body, pushing the blanket off for easier access.
Untucking her shirt, I run my hands teasingly along her lower belly, then up to cup her breast, which fit perfectly in my hand.
“Harrison,” she moans. The husky rasp of her voice is a straight shot to my balls, the best aphrodisiac in the world.
“I want to take my time with you, feel what’s mine.” I pinch her erect nipple and squeeze. “This is mine for however long I want. Is it not?” I growl.
Forever crosses my mind. But that needs to stay buried deep down.
“Yes,” She breathes, subtly rocking her hips, begging for my touch. “Yours.”
I reach my free hand up, taking her chin between my fingers to have her look ahead of us. “All these people out there in the city, watching us, are jealous you’re not theirs.”
“Oh my god,” she cries, moaning simultaneously. “They can’t see us, can they?”
