My jaw drops open, panting loudly as he bites the side of my neck, eliciting a loud moan to slip from my mouth. He smiles against me, then lets his tongue peek out to drag up the delicate part of my skin, “Ride me, Jules. Ride me, and let go. I want to hear you scream my name,” he growls in my ear.

Oh no. I’ll never be able to hold it now.

My hips move with his, bucking wildly, chasing that euphoric feeling as I begin to see stars.

“Oh…oh.”

“Say it!” he growls.

“Harrison! Ahhh,” I cry into his mouth. “I’m going to come,” I moan, gripping his shoulders with a death grip, frantically rolling my hips against him as my body shakes and convulses. I’ve never felt anything like it before. He is amazing, and now I’m in a complete daze as I come down from my high.

Harrison holds me against his chest, kissing my forehead, which seems too intimate, but I can’t deny I love the feeling.

“Harrison?” I mutter.

He slowly and softly places me down on the ground, then cups my cheek. “Yeah, baby?” He smirks.

Bastard.

“I—” I begin to say but get interrupted by his phone’s loud ring tone.

“Fuck.” He pulls it out of his pocket, and I see the nameMarissalight up before he quickly answers it. “Hello?” He takes a step back, listening with rapt attention, then drags his hand down his face. “I’m near the house. I’ll be home in ten minutes.”

What?

He pockets his phone, and his face is full of sorrow. He leans down and kisses my cheek. “I’m so fucking sorry, Jules, I need to leave.”

“Now?” I whisper yell.

He nods, adjusts himself—a brutal reminder of what we just did—and walks in the direction we came in from, stopping at the doorway. “I’m truly sorry. It’s an emergency.” And without a second glance, he’s out the door before I can open my mouth.

What the fuck just happened?

Glancing around the dark, empty room, I suddenly feel more alone than I ever have before, not exactly the feeling you want after you’ve opened yourself up to a stranger…I don’t even know what to do right now.

I’m mortified.

Realizing I can’t stay here, I reach for my bag and text Becks.

Please stay with Matteo, but I need to get out of here now. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.

Love you xx

Then I pocket my phone and run far away from this fucking shit show of a party before I have a second longer to think about my actions or how he didn’t even ask for my number.

Harrison

I swing open my front door and run up the steps two at a time toward my daughter’s room.

Marissa, the babysitter, pops her head out, “I’m so sorry, Mr. Davenport, she just fell asleep. I think she was exhausted from all the crying.”

I drag my hands down my face, fuck.

“Normally, I wouldn’t have called and ruined your night. I know Claudina gets upset when you’re gone, but this was more than the last time I was here.”

I reach into my pocket and grab cash to pay her, then give her a reassuring look. “You did the right thing. Thank you for letting me know and for babysitting on such short notice.”

She smiles a bright, genuine smile, “Any time. I love hanging out with Claud. She’s the sweetest little girl. Don’t tell the other parents, but she’s my favorite in the neighborhood to babysit. If your nanny needs more days off, I’m your girl.”
