“Oh, give me a break,” Nate teases.

“Not that I’m not happy to see you guys, but why are you here early?”

“They wanted to torture us after they saw the article, no doubt.”

Leo shrugs. “Truth.”

“Listen, Jules.” Harrison ignores his brothers. “Claud’s ecstatic to be here with all of us and would be devastated if we left tomorrow. Can you ask Daphne to cover you for one or two more days? I’ll even give her a bonus as an incentive.”

“Don’t be ridiculous, you don’t need to do that. It shouldn’t be a problem—as you like to remind me, I’m due days off. Mom can also help. She said her hands have barely bothered her in the last few days.”

“Good.” He kisses me again, then looks toward the guys. “Bonfire or sunset sail tonight?”

“Boat since we have clear skies. Bonfire tomorrow, before dinner,” Nate replies.

“Perfect.”

Yes, perfect…everything is perfect.

Which terrifies me because nothing is everperfect.

Harrison

After destroying Nate and Leo’s asses in beach paddle ball, we’re back at the house, lying by the pool. Tonight’s our last night before we head back to the city early tomorrow.

As pissed as I was that my brothers showed up early, I have to admit, the weekend was better than I could have ever hoped for. Especially after Rachel’s escapades starting our week on the wrong foot.

Juliette fits seamlessly with our group, like she was made to be a part of us. The guys love her, and I can see friendships blooming, especially with Leo.

They instantly clicked, which I should have figured would happen. Back when we first started seeing one another—the night we ran into her ex in the bar—I saw Leo take control and stand up for her when I wasn’t around.

He had both of our backs.

Now, I can only hope Sebastian has the same reaction when they finally meet. How could he not? There’s not one thing to dislike about my girl…she’s perfect.

I’m not saying this because I’m biased. She is truly special and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She’s pure to the core.

Nate turns toward me. “Should we all go to dinner again for our last night?”

Sounds terrible. I’m relaxed in my happy place.

“No, let’s do one last barbecue. There’s a good chance I won’t come back out for a while.”

“Since you sent the staff home, I can go to the store now. I need to get up and walk around. Otherwise, I’m going to fall asleep out here. Does anyone want to come?” Leo asks.

“No,” both Nate and I say in unison.

“Thanks, dicks. I’ll be back.”

I have no interest in moving and know Claud’s in good hands with Jules; I close my eyes and attempt to take an uncharacteristic nap. It’s the second one this week.

“So…” Nate says, letting his words drag.

“What is it, Nathaniel?” I ask impatiently.

He’s ruining my once-in-a-lifetime relaxation time.

“Earlier, I heard you talking to Jules…you called her your little butterfly.” He holds my stare. “You’re in love with her? I know you said it to Seb, but truly?”
