Juliette laces her hand through mine and places her other over my heart. “Listen to me, Rachel. We do not associate with conniving, backstabbing women like you. You are not to contact Harrison anymore. Do not call, and do not show up. Unless it pertains to his daughter and your son, you are to cut all ties. Do you understand me?”
Rachel stands there, dumbfounded.
“Do you understand?!” Juliette screams louder than I’ve ever heard her before.
Rachel nods, then walks away with her head hell-high. She would never show weakness to a stranger.
“Oh, andRach?” Juliette says through gritted teeth.
“You step foot on this property again or so much as sneeze on the front lawn. I will personally call the police on you for trespassing. Now get back in your car, which I’m sure one of your five failed marriages paid for, and get the fuck off this property.” She slams the door.
I roll my lips to hide my smirk. There she is…my sassy girl.
Juliette leans against the door and closes her eyes. I’m not stupid enough to speak to her until she is calm.
She takes a deep breath, then opens her eyes, glaring at me. “Three months?” She pops a brow.
I cross my arms, annoyed that’s all she cares about. “Yes. I’m counting from the beginning.”
“I thought you didn’t remember the restaurant well. That’s the beginning.”
I look at her deadpan. “I never said that…I said?—”
She smirks before I can finish my sentence. “I know. I’m only teasing.” She takes my hand in hers. “Dinner time.”
I look down at my girl in surprise. Even if it took me a while to admit it, I’m not a stranger to being jealous, and neither is Jules.
For her to be the bigger person here is…wow.
We just turned a huge fucking corner in our relationship.

“Juliette, that was exceptional, baby. Thank you for making us dinner.” Harrison wipes his mouth and tosses his linen napkin on the table.
He moves his chair back and taps his thigh.
Without a second thought, I circle the table, but before I can sit, he lifts me and positions me so I’m straddling his lap.
“Hi,” I whisper.
“I’m sorry, Jules. Are you okay from before?”
I run my hands through his hair and smile tenderly. “You have no reason to be sorry, and yes, I’m okay.”
“Hmm…” He lifts a brow.
I smirk. “I am, truly.” He knows how jealous I can get, but I can honestly say Rachel is a manipulative piece of work. It’s pathetic that she would show up here to intimidate me. I’ve never felt more secure in my relationship with Harrison than when he told her off.
He cups my cheek and grins. “Good.” His lips drop to my breast, and he bites my nipple hard through my dress.
Ah. My sweet man has retired for the night, it seems. He reaches behind and unzips my dress, pushing away the straps so they fall, exposing my braless breasts.
Harrison hisses through his teeth, dusting the pads of his thumbs over my erect nipples, eliciting goose bumps to rise over my skin and flurries of excitement to dance in my stomach.
“Get right to it then.” I sigh. God, that feels good. “We should at least clean the plates first.”
