I shrug because I genuinely don’t know. “I have a bad feeling.”
“No negative energy, Juliette.” She hugs me tight, then leans back to look me in the eyes. “Harrison is a good man. Before I knew anything about him, I could tell just by how he was with his daughter. So if there is a way, he will make it happen.”
“I hope you’re right,” I mumble.
She rubs my arms affectionately. “I don’t know if it’s an easy journey between the two of you, but a rocky journey to the end is better than no journey at all.”

I turndown the music and dial Matteo. “Hello?” his voice comes over the car speaker.
“Hey, can you do me a favor but keep it between us?” I ask.
“Yeah, no problem.”
“You can’t tell Becks. It’s nothing bad, but until I have answers, I don’t want to mention it.”
“Well, how about you tell me first, and then I’ll see if I can keep it from her.”
What?
“That defeats the whole fucking purpose of me saying to keep it a secret.”
He laughs over the line. “True. Okay, fine. I won’t say anything.”
This idiot is making me nervous he’s going to slip, but I have no other choice.
“Can you look into who is buying Juliette’s building?”
“Yeah. No problem. What’s going on?”
I rub my temple with my free hand, unsure. “Something feels off with how the building management is handling it. I could be overreacting, but I’d rather make sure.” I hear him typing, probably already looking into it. “How’s Tramonto doing? Killer season for rooftops.”
“It’s doing great. We couldn’t have asked for a better opening. Damn, sorry, my four o’clock is here. I’ve got to go. I’ll look into this and get back to you ASAP.”
“Thanks, appreciate it. Talk soon.”
The large, weathered mahogany gates to our Bridgehampton home open as my car pulls up. The sensor is broken, one of my brothers must have seen me on the security camera and opened it.
It feels nice to be back here. It’s been a while since we’ve all been together.
Usually, we all come out to the house as much as possible, but work has been crazier than ever for both Seb and myself.
Nate and Leo built this house from the ground up three years ago, so they like to be out here even more now to enjoy their handy work.
We chose to be inland over the beach to get fifteen acres for Claudina to enjoy running in the grass, using the tennis courts, pools—whatever her little heart desires.
This, of course, piqued people’s interest. No one understood why four billionaires would share a house. There was even a goddamn article written about it as if they have nothing else in the world to report about.
Either way, it will never change, If we’re out here with Claudina, none of us would want to sacrifice our time with her.Plus, who the hell needs that much space? We could all have five kids, and still share.
The guest house alone has three bedrooms. It’s typically where Leo stays since he’s the one who brings women home on a regular basis, and there’s no fucking way he’s coming into the house with Claudina there.
As I make it down our long, tree-lined drive, I see my angel standing at the end, jumping up and down once she spots my car.
I beep the horn, rev the engine, and fly down the rest of the way. She cups her mouth and yells, I can’t hear her over my V12 engine, but it’s cute to watch her get excited.
