I turned to him and he nodded. Then I turned to Hawk who smirked at me.

“We’re patching Valkyrie from the Nomads effective today as well,” Ace said. “She’s done stellar work for us and the Nomads, and let’s face it. She always belonged with us anyway.”

A round of affirmative sounds came from everyone who agreed. Dempsey asked me to keep an eye out for her since he couldn’t do it anymore, and that was exactly what I was going to do. Ace let church out but the three of us sat there a little longer, the door closing after Butch left.

“Foley’s been charged with more offences,” Ace said. “He’s never getting out and he’s in solitary because of a little bust up in the yard thanks to Chains.”

I smirked, knowing exactly what kind of bust up it was. Razor had filled me in when I’d gone to visit him.

“No one is pressing charges from the fray in the compound,” Ace added. “We’re in the clear. Kilkenny is ours, now we build the trust we once had here, and we’ll be home.”

Hawk and I both nodded in unison.

We’d done it.

“You best get home,” I said to him, looking at the time on the wall. “Sheridan will kill you if you’re late.”

“You’re not wrong,” he chuckled. “Tomorrow, brothers, don’t be fucking late or I’ll send Shauna after you. She’ll do anything to keep the peace these days.”

Out of the twins, she’d always been my favourite, she never shied away from anything. That was the attitude you needed to be in this club, just like Orla.

Tomorrow, we’d come here to the clubhouse and Ace would marry Sheridan, finally. I couldn’t fucking wait to watch the two of them finally get their peace.

We moved out of the clubhouse and toward our bikes. Hawk was still living on the compound with Morena in the cabin down the walkway, so he left us on the bikes and went home. Morena had gone crazy with Orla, setting up the archway for the nuptials all day. I had never missed my woman more than I did when she was so close and yet too busy for her man.

“You ready, brother?” I asked Ace as he sat on his bike. A smile crept over his face, and I knew it was a stupid question. He and Sheridan were always meant to be together.

“Yeah, I really can’t fucking wait to call her my wife. It’s so fucking strange. It’s just a title, and yet it holds something to it.”

“Orla’s losing her shit about it,” I chuckled. “She can’t wait to watch Sheridan get married to you.”

Ace turned to me, his brows knitting together.

“What is it?”

“Why don’t you marry Orla alongside us?”

“What?”

“I mean it,” he said. “We both know how much they would dig getting married together. I’m game…if you are.”

“You really just said that?” I shot back. “You may as well add on double dare at the end.”

Ace laughed. “Come on, Alex, you know you love Orla. You always have.”

“It’s not about not wanting to get married, Coop. Of course I would in a fucking heartbeat, but tomorrow is about you and Sher.”

“And it could quite easily be about you and Orla too.”

“Go and spend time with your fiancée before she’s your wife,” I said, wanting to get away before I agreed to it. The idea of Orla being my wife had my cock hardening in my pants. I put my helmet on and took off toward home.

Orla

I just finished plating up dinner when I heard the rumble of Bear’s bike outside. I eagerly put the plates down on the table and waited. He kicked off his boots and moved into the dining room, his eyes lighting up when he saw his favourite meal.

“Is it my birthday?” he asked me, a sly smirk making its way onto his face.

“Not yet,” I replied. “Come on, let’s eat. I’m fucking hungry. I’ve been tattooing all day, and I just wanna curl up with my big teddy bear and fall asleep.”
