My goddamn woman.

Darby

Rebel was getting ready in the bathroom…our bathroom, which made me giddy…when I came in from my walk outside. He looked so fucking good in his jeans.

“Where are you going?”

“We, babe,” he said. “We’re a we now, remember. Where I go, you go.”

I rolled my eyes as he trimmed his stubble with his shaver.

“Okay, fine, where arewegoing?”

“Clubhouse,” he said. “Morena’s birthday so it’s going to be a big night. We’ll stay there the night so we can get messy. You good with that?”

“I’m down,” I said, almost giddy with the idea of being able to party with them all and see what Rebel’s life was like when he wasn’t fighting to save me. “What do I wear?”

He smirked over at me as he pulled on his shirt, covering that chest that I could easily spend hours tracing every line of his tattoos, over every ridge of his chiseled abdomen. “Whatever you want, princess.”

I skipped down the hall and raided my chest of drawers. I didn’t have a lot here but the little I did have was comfortable and that’s how I liked it. I opted for jean shorts and a pink crop top. I slid my Chuck Taylors on and headed down to the bathroom.

Rebel was pulling his cut on when I entered the room. He wolf-whistled as I moved inside. I stuck my head out and flipped a finger at him to which he laughed and moved into the kitchen. I quickly styled my hair up in a messy bun, with curl tendrils hanging down the sides of my face before I went and added some makeup to my face. I’d always been a natural girlie, never really bothering with makeup, but I wanted to look good for Rebel. Especially if we were going to be going official tonight. I finished up with a dash of mascara on my eyelashes and I ran out to join him. He was eating a cookie he’d madeearlier, throwing one at me. I caught it in time before it went sailing through the air and bit down into the salted caramel and pretzel monstrosity that he called aNew Yorkcookie. It was more cake than cookie but damn was it good.

I was never going to get sick of him cooking or baking for me, especially when he did it so well.

“You’re going to make me fat with how much you bake for me.”

“Good,” he said, pulling me into his arms. “More of you to worship.”

I finished my cookie and he took my hand, leading me out ofourhouse and to his bike. I looked back at the house which had once been my prison at one point, and smiled, knowing it was the best damn thing to ever happen to me…aside from Kendrick.

He helped me to jump on the back and we took off, flying down the roads of Tullaroan and east to Kilkenny. I held onto my man with everything I had, knowing he was my future, my everything. I couldn’t wait to wear his name on my own cut, to show the world I was his and he was mine.

It’s funny…I never thought I’d ever want a biker…that the life I had grown up in had been too full of darkness, but with Kendrick…I couldn’t imagine ever being apart from him. I found myself eager to learneverything about the Ghost Rebels and what I could do for the club.

I couldn’t help but smile as we pulled into the compound and I recognised some of the faces already hanging around. The amount of bikes parked near the carpark told me this was going to be a big affair. I jumped off the bike and handed him my helmet. He put them on the back of the bike and took my hand, leading me up to the clubhouse.

This was it.

The first time we were going to be seen together as a couple. And I was so fucking excited, I could almost throw up.

Shona poured another round of drinks for me, herself and Ryleigh. We were all sitting at the end of the bar, watching as half the bikers toppled over from the amount of alcohol coursing through their systems.

“Lightweights,” I laughed with the girls. I’d felt so welcomed here, even when I stepped foot inside with Kendrick by my side. No one looked at me funny, everyone came over to say hi. I loved that they all knew who I was…even the ones who hadn’t been around when everything was going down.

“You’d be surprised,” Shona said. “The ones who you’d look at and think they could take down a keg on their own are usually the ones falling first.”

“Definite crybabies,” Ryleigh added. She’d been enjoying her night off from being a mum and letting her hair down. I felt closer to Ryleigh than anyone else, even my own sister, because she was closer in age to me, but also she was Rebel’s best friend’s girl. I had a feeling she would be my bestie in no time. The women all wore their cuts and I loved how it looked on them. I chanced a glance over at Rebel who was with Fury, Savage and Viper by the pool tables. I saw a lightness in his stance, in his eyes when he was with his boys. He was so different to the moody man I’d been babysat by. He had a heart of gold and now I was the one who held his heart. I’d never let anything darken it again.

God, he was so unbelievably sexy. I wish I could drag him down the hall and have him fuck me against a wall, in front of everyone. I never knew I was into voyeuristic shit but for him, I wanted everyone to know he was mine.

Everyone.

Including the club bunny currently eye fucking him from across the room. She thinks I couldn’t tell, always casting a glance in my direction and looking away when she caught me. She thinks she was beingsubtle, but she’ll soon come to see if you fuck around, you’ll find out with me.

Kendrick was mine.

One of the bunnies who I knew as Kayleigh came over to relieve Shona from the bar. She’d been with Viper all night and I knew there was something there, something more than just a fuck from a biker. I could see the way he looked at her and the way she watched him, the way her fists would clench when other bunnies flirted with him.
