Sure, keep embarrassing yourself even more, Mel! Nice job keeping your cool.
“Do not fear me,” Ghauro said, unhooking the other one connecting the two pieces along my ribs on the same side before switching to the other. “I will wait for your heat.”
My…myheat? The unwelcome disappointment made my heart sink.Of course. The marriage was nothing more than an agreement and he only wanted to fucking breed me. There was no point for him to fuck mebeforeI was ovulating.
And yet, each spot his hand brushed on my body burned. Tingled with anticipation.Traitorous body. Didn’t it get the memo? I was nothing. A means to an end. And now that fleeing wasn’t an option, I needed to come up with a new plan.
Now that the two long pieces of fabric weren’t attached to each other, his hands came to my shoulders to detach the two last golden fragments holding the makeshift dress together and softly pushed the silky material to the sides. It fell along my arms, pooling on the bed next to my thighs and around my hands, revealing my—damn them—hardened nipples to him.
Ghauro stood frozen, still on his knees between my parted thighs, head leveled with mine but eyes locked on my tight and aching breasts. When my traitorous core clenched, I silently blessed the universe that some of the fabric was still falling between my legs and covering the slickness there.
“Are they painful?” he asked, voice low, like enraptured.
“No,” I breathed out. “Why would they be?”
He lifted his gaze then, heat and desire burning inside his eyes. “When Tauri females had engorged udders back when our species was still reproducing, it could be painful to them.”
I shook my head. “It’s not painful for humans. Maybe when they grow bigger because of pregnancy and breastfeeding, but otherwise, it’s not.”
“Breastfeeding…” he repeated, confused. “Are humans eating female breasts?”
My eyes widened. “No—no! It’s…you said females Tauri only had engorged…udderswhen they had a baby, right? Humans’ breasts grow bigger because they produce milk. For the baby. That’s what’s called breastfeeding.”
He looked at them again and I forced myself not to hide behind my arms. “So, there is no milk in them now. It is just…flesh?” he asked, lifting his head back to my face.
I nodded but he kept looking confused. “Yes.”
“Are your head movements a silent language?”
My jaw dropped. Okay, that explained why he didn’t seem to understand when I did. “Huh…yes? Kind of?”
“I do not have the translation for it.”
A small laugh I couldn’t hold escaped my throat. I gave a slow, deliberate nod. “This means yes.” Then, I shook my head to the sides. “This means no.”
He repeated the motion, testing it. “Are there any others?”
He was kind of adorable. “I’ll tell you if I think of any.”
He nodded, the motion a bit jerky but still bringing a smile to my face. Ghauro grabbed my hands and stood up, bringing me with him.
The remaining of the dress fell to the floor.
Naked. I was completely naked in front of my huge alien husband. My face had never been so fucking red.
“You are ready for sleep.”
I wasn’t.Waytoo horny to even consider sleep. But I nodded anyway and turned to look at the bed.
A mattress. How on Earth—right, no…Taurusdid they have mattresses? I bent over, inspecting it. It was covered with silk sheets. When I lifted it, I found myself staring at some smooth fabric made with thickly woven fibers, filled with something that felt bouncy and similar to what I’d known on Earth.
“What—how are these—” I yelped at the feeling of something poking my coccyx, turning around sharply only to end up face to face with a glassy-eyed Ghauro, his lips parted in a mixture of awe and confusion.
Oh shit…did I just flash my ass to my husband?
“Are—what is…Whereis your tail?” he finally asked.
Right. Had this talk with Zhari already… “Humans don’t have tails.”
