Drovo slapped my hand away and replaced it with his tail. “Mine,” he growled. He sounded pained, as if he was close to an orgasm himself.
“Yours,” I agreed.
His tail slid up and down my clit, his ridges moved in and out of me. grazing my g-spot every time. His petals felt divine against my sensitive skin, but it wasn’t enough. Somehow, I still didn’t feel close enough to Drovo.
“I need more.” I whimpered and his hand that was under my side, teasing my breast, moved up to my neck. He gently squeezed and buried his face in my braids.
“Never. Letting. You. Go.” He punctuated each word with a thrust and on the wordgo,I exploded.
That was what I had needed. A promise, a claiming, an oath. Skin to skin, soul to soul, we were bound.
My climax tore through me like a tsunami crashing against a cliff. My body was the cliff and I was getting battered with pleasure.
I felt Drovo stiffen behind me and cry out my name. His hands were almost painfully tight on my thigh and neck, as if he were holding onto me for dear life. I didn’t mind it. I would be his foundation to land upon.
As soon as his orgasm had subsided, we laid together on the furs, panting and boneless. The night had only begun, and we’d mated twice. What else did this night have in store for us?
The answer came about an hour later, as Drovoand I talked. It was one of those amazing one-in-a-life-time conversations where you talked about everything and nothing, and you buzzed with the feeling of being seen.
Another wave of horniness hit us and I ended up on all fours, with Drovo behind me, claiming me with one thrust after another. He found his release after I found mine and we collapsed again onto the furs.
Chapter 29
Drovo
CW: kidnapping
The light of the morning sun was an unwelcome sign. I had wanted our night together, our first luminescence to last forever.
With the sunlight came the diminishment of our glow. We’d have to wait another thirty days for the bonds of luminescence to take us once again.
I looked down at my mate in my arms and a smile spread across my face. My mate. I couldn’t be happier. Kayla would wake up in my arms from this day forward.
She stirred as the sunlight hit her face.
“Mmm,” she whined and turned her back to the bright light coming through the cracks in the ceiling.
I run my knuckles along her cheek. “The sun has risen. We need to head home.”
“Home,” she sighed. “I’d like to go back to the mountain. I’m assuming I’ll be staying in your private cave.”
She looked up at me with a sleepy smile.
“Our cave,” I corrected.
“Our cave. That sounds nice.”
I had just pulled out a fruit bar from my bag when I heard the scraping of stone. Someone was moving the boulder, blocking the entrance to our cave. I stood up and tucked Kayla behind me. She was standing now, too. I readied my vines for attack and produced two wooden spikes from the palms of my hands. I was ready. No one was taking my luna moth from me.
To my relief, it was Brexl who stood before us after the boulder was removed. Blood dripped from his temple, and he looked distressed.
“What’s wrong?”
“They took her,” he growled. “Scaron and two of the other hunters took Taylor.”
“They what?!” Kayla stepped out from behind me in dismay. “We have to go after them.”
“I will go after them,” Brexl cut in. “You two will go back to the mountain and tell Tarak what has happened here. If I am not back in five rotations, send help.”
