“How about we start by breaking my curse?” He kisses my cheek.
I smile and step back. “She’s waiting for you.”

The door opens, and Keldarion walks through. Completelybare for me, he looks like a god come down from the heavens. But his face softens as he sees me, covered in frozen purple roses, lying on his bed.
That look, that expression. All my doubts melt away when our gazes meet.
“Kel, I’ve been waiting for this for so long.”
“Not as long as I’ve been waiting for you, my Rose.”
Caspian steps out behind Keldarion, smiling. It feels right he’s here with us.
Keldarion walks to the side of the bed, taking me in, before he brushes the roses to the side, revealing my shivering skin. Then he crawls on top of me, pressing two light kisses to my temples before softly brushing his lips over mine.
“Will you excuse me if we get right to it?” he asks.
I smile against the kiss. “I can’t wait anymore, Kel.”
Gently, he runs a hand along my hips and lifts them, then he guides himself to my entrance. I nearly whimper with anticipation. The air feels heavy with magic. It pulses about us, golden and glowing.
The Enchantress’s curse is ready to break.
Slowly, the head of Keldarion’s cock slips into me. Tears flood my eyes. It’s happening, after all this time. I never imagined it could feel so good, so right, to have him inside me. He moves achingly slow, no doubt trying not to hurt me. I grip the sheets, reveling in every glorious moment.
“Oh, Kel,” I gasp.
A knock sounds, loud and urgent.
We freeze. Caspian, still standing by the window, looks at us, then rushes to the door. “Stay where you are. I’ll deal with this.” He clears his throat. “Whatever it is, I suggest you leave.”
“I wish I could, but this can’t wait.” It’s Dayton’s voice.
Keldarion slips out of me and stands. “Daytonales! Leave.”
“Wish I could, but I drew the short stick. I think Ez and Fare cheated.” The door opens as Dayton slips inside and observes the three of us, including Keldarion’s murderous face. “Oh stars. I really wish I could leave.”
“We love to share, but pick your moment, sunshine,” Caspian hisses, gripping Dayton’s shoulder. “Get the fuck out.”
Dayton swivels out of his grip. “You’re breaking your curse, Kel? You know what? Let me create a distraction. I’m great at distractions. Do it quick, and come out in five minutes.”
I sit up, roses tumbling off me in a flurry. “Why are you here, Day?”
Because a horrible sense of foreboding swirls within me. Dayton wouldn’t interrupt this moment for me, not unless something was terribly, terribly wrong. And I can see it on his face.
Dayton gives a bone-deep sigh. “Sira’s here. And she’s sitting on Kel’s throne.”

Caspian
The words might as well be a death sentence.
Not from my mother. She’d never kill me, her one beautiful creation.
