My family.

I raise a brow and whisper to Caspian, “So did everyone except me know you and Rosalina were mates?”

He grins. “Yep.”

“And you all hid it from me?”

“Yep.”

I shake my head. “Bastards.”

Caspian tugs me forward. Quietly, we creep into the left side of the bed, Caspian beside Ez and me on the end. Protecting them all.

Protecting them as I will for the rest of my life.

Rosalina

An amazing sense of warmth envelops me. So many scentsmingle in the air: the crisp tang of cranberries, lavender, fresh flowers, warm apples, and salty sea.

I soak in this delicious feeling, my body thrumming with happiness. I burrow deeper into the soft mattress, the blankets so warm over my shoulders.

Farron has his arms banded tight around my waist. Dayton’s sleeping behind him, his arm a heavy and comforting weight over both of us. On my other side is Ezryn. He’s curled over me, his chin on the crown of my head.

I blink my eyes open. Warm light spreads out from beneath the curtains. It’s morning then. My heart feels so at peace. A new day, starting it all together. All my mates in one place.

Wait. All my mates?—

I rise to peer over Ezryn.

Keldarion and Caspian are here.

But not just here. Heretogether. Keldarion has his arms wrapped around Caspian, who is facing him, tucked into the Winter Prince’s embrace. But it’s more than their physical closeness that has my heart racing.

I’m still not used to being fae, but I can tell their scents are combined. So intertwined. It can only mean one thing.

What happened last night? When did they come in?I felt so safe with their presence I didn’t even wake when they crawled into bed.

Caspian’s eyes shoot open, cat bright in the dim light, and stare straight at me. I smile at him. He smiles back.

I think my heart might burst out of my chest.

“Go back to sleep, Princess,” he mouths.

I wiggle out of Farron’s embrace and lean over Ezryn. “Tell me what happened.”

A deep flush appears across his cheeks. “I told Kel I still loved him.”

“And it went well?”

“You could say that.” The color in his cheeks deepens.

My smile broadens. Could this be enough for Keldarion to finally break his curse?

“Well—” I start.

Ezryn grips me around the waist and rolls me so I’m squished between him and Cas. “If you’re going to talk this early in the morning, do it closer,” he grumbles.
