Rafe gave her exactly what she wanted and better than she’d imagined. He moved over her, trapping her thighs between his, pushing her legs together. The pressure squeezed her clit against her swollen, wet lips. With his hand under her hip, he guided her ass up in the air, giving him just enough room to push his cock in nice and deep.
He moved slowly, dragging his lips over her shoulder as he pumped in and out. Sloan felt weightless, sinking into her sheets. Every pleasure point in her body seemed focused between her legs. Before she realized it, Rafe had become completely still. Sloan was the one doing the moving, fucking herself slow, but hard on his dick, thighs clamped shut, creating the sweetest pressure.
His lips brushed over her ear. The light touch made her pussy clench around him. “Does that feel good?” he groaned.
“Mhmm,” was all she could manage, but just admitting it to him, to herself, out loud was enough. She realized then that she’d been holding back with him. Call it the new boyfriend jitters, but now she knew she didn’t have to. She had no clue when it had happened, but she could feel a palpable change. She didn’t have to guard herself, worry about what he might say, or what he might think. With him, she felt safe, free to show him exactly what she wanted andhowshe really wanted it.
She let go, soaking up the warmth of his body pressed on top of her and the strokes of his mouth over her skin. She could feel herself on the edge of blacking out from pure pleasure when she arched off the bed, pushing Rafe’s dick out as she squirted all over her sheets. He thrust back inside, sending another tremor through her whole body. Somehow, her body was still craving more. She fucked herself on him more, harder, rougher, until she squirted again. Somewhere in the distance, in the haze of her pulsing orgasm, she heard Rafe let out the sexiest groan. She couldn’t possibly want more, but she did.
Rafe collapsed on the bed beside her. When Sloan’s eyes finally opened, he reached up and stroked her cheek.
“Did you come?” she asked.
Rafe frowned. “Did I come? If we were less responsible, you’d definitely be pregnant.”
“Oh, well good thing we were careful.”
Rafe didn’t say anything, he just winked at her. In the few long moments they lay together in silence, there were things she wanted to tell him. Things she wanted to say, sweet things, romantic things, but she kept those confessions to herself. She’d tell him one day, though. Maybe sometime soon. Deep down, she knew there was no stopping it. But for now, she would have to settle for closing the distance between her and her boyfriend, and kissing him on his perfect, soft lips.
Sloan was extra on edge, but hopefully things would be somewhat sorted out in a few hours. After they got the girls dinner, she and Rafe were going to sit them down and tell them that they had started seeing each other. Sloan may have googled “how to tell your kids you’re dating again” earlier that morning. The constant takeaway was transparency, honesty and listening with an open heart to how your kids were taking the news.
She suspected they would be on board, but she didn’t want to confuse them and she didn’t want to pressure them into accepting something they weren’t ready for quite yet. She was also anxious to see them. She missed her babies. It didn’t help that she couldn’t hold Rafe’s hand while they were waiting for Addison and Avery in the Alaskan Airlines baggage terminal. She could feel him next to her—a tall, buff ball of his own nervous energy. She almost reached over and looped her arm through his, but caught herself at the last minute.
“I can’t believe you baked that many cookies.” She’d come home early from her second consult to find Rafe standing in the kitchen, a sweets factory worth of snickerdoodles cooling on the island.
“I don’t know, I couldn’t sit still. I figure they can bring the leftover four dozen cookies into school tomorrow and you can bring some into the medical center. Have a full on bake sale at one of the nurses’ stations.”
“Ehhh, I don’t know if I want to set a baked goods precedent. Unless you wanna keep baking for the medical center staff.”
“I’ll get back to you on that.”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought.”
“I washed your sheets and made your bed.”
“Oh, thank you.” Sloan checked her smart watch. Their flight was on time. “I have no idea which door they’re coming out of.”
“They’ve been doing construction here for, like, ten years. Give them thirty or so more and I think they’ll have it right.”
“I should have brought balloons,” she nudged Rafe and nodded to the two teen girls a few feet away carrying what looked like fifty balloons and a sign for “Jessica”. They were too busy filming each other on their phones to notice that they were getting a few looks themselves.
“Balloons and stuffed animals next time,” Rafe teased.
“Oh, I’ll be mom of the year.” Just then, another teen girl came out of a doorway off to the left. She immediately started screaming and running toward her friends. Sloan smiled for less than half a second, before her stomach dropped to the floor. She heard one of her girls absolutely wailing before she could even see her. Sloan was already halfway across the baggage area before she realized she was moving. Avery came through the departure tunnel door first. She was tugging Drew behind her. He had a firm grip on Addison with his other hand. Tears were streaming down her face too, but she was silent.
“What the hell?” she said under her breath. “Come here, baby.”
Drew let Avery go and she sprinted into Sloan’s arms. Sloan wiped her face, then looked her over for any apparent injuries. She looked up at her ex-husband. Horrible things didn’t happen in slow motion, they happened fast. So fast that it would take Sloan a while to really process the whole scene. She felt Rafe behind her. Heard Addison say his name as she reached for him with her free hand, but Drew wouldn’t let her go.
“You son of bitch,” Drew seethed. And then he let go of Addison and lunged for Rafe. Sloan narrowly missed taking a knee to the face as she pulled Avery out of the way. Rafe had the reflexes to dodge the first punch Drew threw. Drew stumbled a half step, but quickly spun around and tried to punch Rafe again. This time, Rafe caught him and put him in a body hold, straining both of Drew’s arms behind his back.
“I don’t know what your problem is, but you need to relax. Right now,” Rafe said just loud enough for Sloan to hear. Both girls were in her arms, trembling and crying. Drew was looking right at them, but it didn’t seem to matter. He threw his head back, trying to headbutt Rafe in the nose. He missed again.
“You think you can come in,” Drew said, “and try to take my fucking kids. Try and take my fucking wife.”
“Drew! Stop!” Sloan heard herself say, but she could tell nothing she said would stop him. She’d never seen Drew like this before, blood red in the face, nearly foaming at the mouth. He kept struggling against Rafe’s iron hold like he was willing to hurt himself just to hurt Rafe. She had no idea what would get him to stop. Until the airport police showed up.
Sloan was perfectly still, but inside she felt like every inch of her was quaking. As soon as Rafe saw the officers, he let Drew go, but it took all three cops to get Drew to finally settle down. He thoroughly scared the shit out of the girls who were currently clinging to Sloan, even though their tears has stopped.
