“I’m so sorry, Jenna.” Ellena’s thick voice came through the coms.

In pure, Jenna fashion, she simply said, “Shut up and hug me tighter.”

The two women laugh-cried for a few seconds more before Price nodded to Ellena’s escort. The dickhead growled out, “That’s enough.” Then, much like he’d done to Ellena, he wrapped his meaty hand around Jenna’s upper arm and pulled her along with him.

“Wait!” Jenna tried fighting against his tight grip. “What about Elle?”

“Go with him. I’ll be okay.”

Gabe could tell from the sound of her voice she was fighting back more tears. Ellena didn’t take her eyes off of Jenna, not until she was inside the hanger and tucked safely behind Gabe.

“Stay behind me,” he ordered the shaken woman. “We’ll get you out of here as soon as we can.”

“W-what about Elle? Why is she still out there? I thought the plan was to—”

He grabbed her hand and squeezed. “Just trust me, okay? I’m not going to let anything happen to her.”

She gave him a shaky nod, so he let her hand go and turned back to where Ellena and Price were still standing.

The plan was for her to act like she was going to follow him onto the plane so she could be interrogated by Radcliff about whatever he thought Mark Ellis had told her in their sessions.

Once Price turned his back, Gabe and his team would take the asshole out, along with the other men standing guard. Ghost and his team, along with Ryker, were there to provide backup and spot any surprises Price may have in store for them.

Come on, asshole. Get this shit going already.

Right on cue, Price looked at Ellena and smiled. “Well, now. Isn’t that sweet? What a good friend you must be to offer yourself up like that for Miss Shaw.”

“What do you want, Daniel?” Ellena asked smoothly.

“Straight to the point. I like that in a woman.”

“Is it bad that part of me hopes this prick pulls something just so I can shoot his ass?”

Ghost’s rhetorical question damn near made Gabe smile, but then he heard Price’s voice again and all signs of humor vanished.

“There are so many things I want to discuss with you, Dr. Dawson. My associate, Mr. Walker, assured me you were brought up to speed on how this was going to work?”

“He did.”

“Excellent. Shall we?”

Price held out his arm toward the plane, but Ellena didn’t move. Instead, her calm voice filled Gabe’s ears again.

“I need to know something first.”

Something in her tone told Gabe she was talking more to him than Price.

Shit.

Price glanced down at Ellena with an innocent smile. “And what would that be?”

Gabe kept his voice low, his lips barely moving as he spoke to her through their earpieces. “Baby just walk toward the plane. We’re right here with you. Walk toward the plane, and we’ll take care of the rest.”

“I want to hear you say it.” Ellena’s voice became flat.

“What is she doing?” Kole asked on a whisper.

A new sound hit Gabe’s ear, then. A low, humming sound. One he and the others recognized immediately.
