The new angle has me hitting deeper and she moans with each thrust. I maintain the same slow pace, building the pressure gradually as her nails dig into my shoulders and her breathing picks up.

"Faster." She rocks her hips to meet my thrusts. "Please, I need more."

"Hey, why rush something amazing?" I purr, and Tatiana grips my hips hard, digging her nails in.

I continue the slow, deep strokes and feel her getting closer again from the way she's starting to tighten around me. Only then do I increase the pace slightly.

"Yes." Her head falls back. "Just like that. Don't stop."

I reach between us and find where we're joined, circling that bundle of nerves with my thumb. The added stimulation has her gasping and clinging to me.

"Oh, God," she grunts. "So close."

"Yeah, me too." I can feel my own control starting to slip. "Come with me this time."

I increase both the pace of my thrusts and the pressure from my thumb. She's right on the edge and I'm not far behind.

"Now." I drive into her harder. "Let go."

When she lets loose, so do I. I feel her pulsing around me, her walls fluttering as a roar rips from her chest. And I grab her hips so hard she yelps but I can't help it. The orgasm is powerful and my balls feel like they'll explode until I feel the white-hot pulsing and my seed dumps into her.

"Shit," I growl, gritting my teeth, and Tatiana's fingernails dig in harder, feeling like they're drawing blood.

"Oh, God," she breathes, and I slow my thrusts, pumping in and out of her a few more times before I seat myself fully and loosen my grip.

Her legs fall slack, hands dropping to her belly, and I feel her juices running down my balls. I can't even think straight as the endorphins go nuts inside my body. I feel drugged and relaxed, and I feel giddy inside.

"I fucking love you, you know that?" I tell her, and instead of feeling the panic of losing control or the fear of my enemies ruining me with my weakness, I feel powerful. Like loving this woman makes me ten times stronger than any man alive.

"I know it…" she says, grinning. "I fucking love you too. And I'm doing my job. You can protect me if you want, but you can't get in my way."

I feel like we still need to have words about this, but how can I stop her? Especially when my brother has made his mind up.

"I'm not happy," I tell her.

"You don't have to be happy. You're stronger when you're pissed off. Now kiss me, you fool."

I lean down and kiss her and think of every reason in the world this is a bad choice. But right now, the only thing coming to mindis how incredible it feels to be buried inside her. And if I get to come home to this every day, then maybe it's worth the risk.

TATIANA

The detective waiting at the side entrance of the police station looks bored. He's leaning against the doorframe with a cigarette between his fingers and scrolling through his phone with the other hand. When I approach, he glances up and flicks the cigarette onto the pavement.

"You Tatiana Sarnova?" He doesn't wait for an answer before pulling the door open.

"I'm Tatiana," I say cautiously, stepping past him into the dimly lit hallway. "Who are you?"

"Rashid," he grumbles as he locks the door behind us and starts walking without checking whether I'm following. "Let's get this over with. I've got tickets to a game at nine." He's wearing a police uniform, but he's not acting much like a policeman. I glance around nervously at the plainly painted cinderblock walls and follow him slowly.

Dimitri and I went several more rounds before he finally caved and listened to me, with conditions. One of which is this stupid Kevlar vest with heavy ceramic plates. It's so bulky and gaudy, but I could tell he was never going to let me out of his penthouse if I didn't put it on.

"Is it always this empty on Friday nights?" Tugging at the bottom of the vest, I fix the oversized hoodie I was forced to wear and notice how oddly quiet it is. There are almost no other officers here at all. Dimitri said the one I'd meet tonight is on his payroll. I wonder how many others in this place are too, or if they know this man is.

"Sent most everyone home early." He glances back at me. "Gas leak in the south wing. Real pain in the ass, but better safe than sorry, right?"

He speaks to me like I don't know everything that's going on, or maybe he's saying that for some other reason—the cameras record sound or something, who knows. I don’t need to know the official story of what they told people to get them out of the building. I just find it fascinating that Dimitri has this much power.
