“By all means, but I’m not going to get off. I plan to do that buried deep inside of you.” I smirk and wave at her to continue before placing my hands behind my head.

Olive licks around the crown, then takes me between her lips once more. She’s working hard to get me to break my word, and between the suction and adorable noises she makes, I almost do. When I’m just about to lose it, I lift her up and kiss her like my life depends on it. She’s rubbing herself against my cock, and with each pass, I’m desperate to slip inside.

“Ride me, baby,” I command.

She reaches between us and lines me up perfectly. Inch by glorious inch, she sinks onto me, gripping me like a fist. It takes her a minute to get situated, but once she is, Olive leans back, placing her hands on my shins while she bounces in a flawless rhythm. Her breasts lift and fall each time I move my hips, driving me wild with desire.

I’m coated in her, drenched by her pussy, and all I can focus on is not blurting out how much I love her. I do—I mean, it’s kind of sorted in my brain at this point. Yet each time she sinks down on my dick or grinds her pussy against its base, I fall a little harder. I buck up into her, meeting her with punishing thrusts just to take my mind off the three little words that aren’t little at all.

“I need you to get there, I can’t last much longer,” I manage to say while reaching between us to rub her sweet spot.

“Oh my gosh, Sam. That feels so good.”

I bite my lip so hard I taste blood as my orgasm rips through me. Olive screams as she falls apart with me. She falls to my chest, resting her head over my heart.I wonder if she can tell it’s beating for her and only her.

My phone alarm blares in my ear with a loud repetitive beeping.

“Make it stop, please make it stop,” Olive begs, pulling the pillow over her face.

“No can do, babe. We have to work, remember,” I say, removing the pillow from her hands and pressing a kiss to her lips. I feel her smile, and I can’t help but grin.

Last night was magical for so many reasons. There was the amazing sex, which we had more than once. Actually, four times if you count the quickie that happened with her bent over the kitchen table when we came down for snacks around midnight. I’m absolutely counting it, I’ll never look at that table the same way again.

Aside from that, we laughed so hard swapping stories from our childhood, and Olive started to open up a bit more about her family. I feel like we are closer than ever, and I couldn’t be more pleased to be waking up with her in my bed. The only thing that could make everything better is if we didn’t have to leave, and didn’t have to go back to regular life.

“What time is it?” she asks, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

“Eight. I wasn’t sure if you’d want to go home or straight to work.”

“I brought everything I need to get ready here, if that’s okay,” she says, slinging the covers off and moving to stand.

“Of course, whatever makes you happy makes me happy.” I capture her hand as she rounds the bed and pull her into me, hugging her around the waist as I sit on the edge of the bed, kissing her belly button through her oversized long-sleeve T-shirt. I’m not sure why she insisted on putting anything on last night; it’s not like I’m not intimately familiar with every single part of her. She was adamant about it though, and if it makes her more comfortable, it’s not a big deal to me. I would have had fun watching her arm reflect her feelings last night, but I knew them anyway.

“I’ll go shower. Give me, like, forty-five minutes to get ready,” she says, smiling at me before turning to climb down the ladder.

While she’s doing her thing, I lie in bed for a while before deciding to make breakfast. Coffee, of course, and scrambled eggs with avocado toast. I mix the eggs with a little milk and put a pat of butter in the pan so they don’t stick. As I’m swirling the eggs around, perfecting their light, fluffy texture, Olive approaches from behind and wraps her arms around my waist.

“I get dinner and eggs? You really shouldn’t spoil me this way.”

“I’ll spoil you forever if you'll let me.” I turn in her arms and touch my lips to her forehead. Her perfume wafts into my nose, the perfect strawberry scent. Her hair is tied up in a curled but flowy ponytail with a cream bow. She’s wearing a black long-sleeve shirt with a skirt that juts out at her hips and lands below her knees. I notice everything about her, from the black stockings to the pale pink lipstick. She’s the most beautiful person I’ve ever laid eyes on.

“Sam, you can’t make those kind of promises,” she scolds, her eyes boring into mine.

“I can make whatever promises I want. I don’t say things I don’t mean, you should know that by now.” I boop her nose before returning to the eggs.

Grabbing a couple of plates, I slide a portion of eggs and a slice of toast on each, sprinkling on a little everything-bagel seasoning as I go. I set the plates down at the table, slide onto my chair, and notice Olive looks lost in deep thought.

“Hey, it’s just eggs. It’s not a promise I can’t keep. Even if you end up saying this isn’t working for you, I make them every morning and would be happy to throw a couple extra on.” I’m trying to lighten the mood. It’s not like I was proposing, although with the way she makes my heart explode, I very well could without reservation. I didn’t mean to scare her off.

“I know that. I just . . . I usually don’t let things get this far, and if I’m being honest, things are different with you, and that scares me.” She worries her bottom lip between her teeth and stares out the front window from across the table.

I stand, sliding my chair next to hers and bending to turn hers so we are facing each other. Sitting again, I grab her hands and look in her eyes.

“Listen, it was just a saying, a nice gesture. I hate that we had an amazing night and now you are sitting here feeling scared. I know this may seem like it’s all going really fast and that I’m coming on too strong, but I’m not the kind of guy who keeps secrets or lies about things. From the moment I saw you, it was like a veil was lifted, and I could suddenly see the world in full color. You are sweet and kind. Funny as hell and tough as nails. I’ve never had much luck in relationships before, and I always thought that meant something was wrong with me. But I realize now that it was because I hadn’t met you. I don’t expect you to reciprocate this, at least not right now, but I do need to tell you that I’m falling in love with you. The kind of love I’m not sure I’ll ever recover from. And that scares me, too, so all I ask is that ifyou decide you don’t want that or can’t get there with me at some point, please let me down quickly.” I don’t stick around for a response, knowing she will need time to process what I said and that she isn’t ready to say it back. Instead, I stand, push in my chair, and head to the shower to prepare for my day.

When I come out of the bathroom fifteen minutes later, Olive has cleaned the kitchen and is waiting with her bag on the couch. I quickly put my socks and shoes on, check that everything is turned off, and grab my bag to head out the door.

“Ready, Freddie?” I say, grabbing the handle of her bag to take it from her.
