“But I’m not.” Rax grinned at her and kissed her. “I’m two hundred years old.”
“You don’t look a day over twenty-five,” she said and kissed him again.
“Even if that were true, you would still be my female. The more of my nanocybots I give you, the longer you will stay looking the age you are now.”
“That’s supposed to be comforting?” she asked.
“Now that you are rested and treated after your ordeal you are even more beautiful than when I first saw you,” Rax assured her.
“You sweet man. I don’t believe that, but I’ll take it,” she chuckled.
“Female, I would never lie to you, I am incapable of lying,” he asserted pumping into her.
“Oh, yes! I need more of that,” she moaned.
“Only from me!”
“Only from you, Rax. You are my male, and I am your female.”
Then they didn’t talk anymore for quite a while.
Chapter Fifteen
Calan woke from a dream that Ajha was teasing him to make love with her. He hummed in pleasure as she nibbled and sucked on his earlobe. It wasn’t a dream. It was Ajha, naked, coaxing him to wake. He realized he was naked, too, and he didn’t even remember taking off his clothes.
He smiled and turned on his side and slid his arms around her and pulled her against him. He’d slept for ten hours and woke up hard and ready for sex.
But her love flowing freely into his mind was as arousing as her sexy body pressed against him as he kissed her. Endorphins surged through them with their sexual and emotional arousal.
A long romantic encounter in Ajha’s arms was just what he needed after all the terrible things he’d seen in Mikki’s mind. While he slept, he had put those memories away for himself.
What pained him, even more, was that Mikki was not the only one who suffered such torment. Over the years probably thousands were tormented, forced to be prostitutes or fight in the clubs. It amounted to slavery plain and simple because they were being forced.
But Calan was no longer thinking about any of that; he was thinking about the woman in his arms and the love she lavished into his mind. He felt her arousal compounding his own as she lay beneath him arching her body to meet his thrusts.
Her hands rubbed up and down his back and sides. Each time he hit her sensitive bud he felt the pleasure that rippled through her body reflected in her mind. She felt his pleasure building low in his back, and she rested her hands there, pressing him to her as they climbed the summit toward that ultimate point of ecstasy.
Then they soared together flying high on the currents on pure delight they found in each other.
Calan and Ajha showered and dressed and went to the kitchen to have breakfast together basking in the afterglow of their mating. They both sensed that Mikki and Rax had gotten together, but they discretely didn’t probe them further although they could have. It would have been an unethical invasion of their privacy.
The Psionic Code of Ethics had been ingrained in him since he was a child. His plans for the overlords were not exactly condoned by that code. Neither was slavery or coercing people to do things they didn’t want to do for profit.
Calan was going to make people ignore the mass exodus of their slaves. It was not a crime. He had to take away the overlords’ power to restore civilization to outer Farringay.
So far, the gangers had left the refuge alone. That would likely change if they figured out what he had done. Hopefully, it would take a while.
Calan called Rax by conventional means to see when he would be available to assist him. Two hours later, he and Rax took the hover tram to Starport City. They needed a larger transport for Calan’s next operation. He found he could rent one at the Starport. He wanted Rax to pilot the hover transport.
As his orders got bigger and bigger, to accommodate the increased influx of refugees to the refuge he had rented one before a day at a time. This time he was leasing it month to month until he completed the operation.
The council finally picked a name for the new community they were building. They’d offered three choices. Farringay Refuge, Resurgence or Revival. They put it to a resident vote, and they decided to call it Revival for the revival of a community where people could live and work.
Calan didn’t care what they wanted to call it. His purpose was to rebuild the community. Where they could live with the kind of freedom, he knew when he grew up on Oltarin.
Things were progressing as well as he could have hoped. With any luck, by the time he and Ajha had children, the community would be restored. Already the first children who came to Revival were beginning to read and write. Their parents were learning right along with them.
While Calan and Rax were gone, Ajha went to help with the reading classes. With Calan’s sharing knowledge with her, she learned to read and progress ahead of those learning the traditional way. She was still learning, but she had already learned enough that she could help the slower learners.
