My head snaps up at his question. I’m pretty sure my eyebrows have vacated my forehead.

He chuckles at my expression, and I glower, which just makes him laugh harder.Jerk.“Look, it’s definitely not something I would ever offer to anyone else.”

“Better fucking not,” I mumble. He smirks.Shit. He wasn’t supposed to hear that.I school my face into my most angelic look.

“Brat,” he says before going on. “I know you, LB. You’d never do anything to hurt me. So I’m asking you—do we need them?”

“I was tested about a year after I left Nebraska. Everything was negative, and you know there hasn’t been anyone else. I’m clear, but are you sure about this?”

“This is you and me. LB and Teddy. I’ve never been more sure,” he says, and my heart tries to beat its way out of my chest.

I make quick work of removing my boxers, and then I’m lining my body back up with his, fitting perfectly in the space between his legs. Surrounded by him, I’ve never felt safer. Slowly, I push into his body, staring at his face the entire time, watching for any signs of pain. I take my time, working my way into his body with small pulses of my hips. I freeze when I finally bottom out, but Teddy is looking at me like I hung the moon. “Are you alright? Does anything hurt? Do we need to stop?” I ask, needing to be sure.

“Never been better. Keep going, LB.” He kisses me and rocks his hips, using his body to emphasize his words. Sweat drips down my spine from holding back, but I can’t move.

“I think I need help,” I admit. Teddy uses his hold on my hips to push me back before pulling me back in again, thrusting up to meet me. Pleasure sings in my veins, and Teddy unconsciously bites his lip. This time he’s a little more forceful as he guides my hips back and forth again, making us both groan gutturally.

“Take me, LB. Please.”

That whine in his voice is my undoing. The fear holding me back evaporates, and I shove his hands away. I place one hand beside his head, and the other gets a firm grip on his hip, then I set a pace that I didn’t even think I was capable of. Teddy keensand wraps his arms around my neck. I shake my head, trying to loosen his hold on the hair at the nape of my neck.

“Not there,” I gasp out, hips stuttering.

He quickly moves his hands to my back. “Sorry.” His words end on a high-pitched note as I find his prostate. I kiss him to let him know I’m fine, and when I pick my pace back up, it’s as if that moment never happened.

“Harder, LB. I’m so close. Please. Please. Oh God. Please,” he begs. Sweat is pouring off me, but I’ll be damned if I don’t deliver. I speed up, making sure to aim for the spot I hit earlier, and his back arches off the bed completely as he explodes, a moan filling the room. His ass is like a vise grip on my dick. The pressure sets off my own orgasm, and I bury my face in the soft spot between his neck and shoulder.

LB slumps on top of me. I rub his back while I wait for my breathing to return to normal. When I look down, intending to kiss him, a snore rips out of him.I swear, someone this small should not be able to produce a sound like that.Bursting into laughter, I quickly cover my mouth to try and smother the sound. He actually fell asleep. I will 100% be teasing him about being that guy when he wakes up.

When I calm back down, I begin petting his hair. I never thought sex would be like this. I tried making out with a few guys in college before realizing I was Ace, and those experiences never managed to inspire more than a slight stirring of interest in me. I used to think it was because I refused to kiss them on the mouth, always wanting to save that for someone special. Now Iknow that wasn’t the case. A single touch from LB had my body simmering. His lips on mine were an inferno. It was just always meant to be him.

I didn’t think it was possible for me to love him more than I already did, but apparently I was wrong. I feel like my body isn’t big enough to contain all the love I feel for him. It’s not even about the sex, per se. It’s that he chose me. That he felt safe enough with me to show me his most vulnerable side. For him to trust me in this way means absolutely everything to me.

I bury my nose in his hair, needing to be surrounded by as much of him as I can. He smells sweet, like vanilla, with hints of sandalwood and just a touch of musk from his sweat. I sigh in contentment. Soon, my limbs start to feel heavy. With one breath, I whisper, “I love you.” On the next breath, my eyelids fall shut. One last breath, and I’m asleep.

Staring up at the imposing building in front of me, a chill seeps into my bones. Phantom fingers drag across my skin, reminders of him. Tremors start to run through my body until a slim hand slips into mine. My eyes look onto emerald pools as Max slots her body against mine. Grounding me, as she’s done many times before. Heat spreads across my back as Teddy joins us. I’m surrounded by love, and I’ve never been more grateful for this family we’ve managed to form.

“You’re in charge here, LB.” Teddy’s deep voice rumbles through me. “We go in when you’re ready, and not a second before. If that’s not today, then we leave and try again later. Whatever you decide, Max and I are with you.” Taking strength from his words, I lift my foot to the stair in front of me and begin my climb.

The officer at the front desk looks bored to tears. His monotonous “How may I help y’all?” only adds to the dreary mood.

“I’d uh…” Perfectly in sync, as if choreographed, Max and Teddy each squeeze one of my hands when my silence stretches on. Inhaling deeply, I raise my chin and meet the officer’s bored gaze. “I’d like to report a crime.”

We’ve been waiting for about twenty-five minutes when an older man in a suit approaches. He directs his attention to Max. “My name is Detective Bradford. I hear you need to make a report. Would you like to come with me?”

“Oh, I’m not the one needing to make the report,” Max responds.

Confusion flashes across his face. “I was told there was someone needing to make a report for a crime of a sexual nature.”

“Yes, sir, that’s correct,” I say, voice wavering.

As the detective turns to face me, I see the moment understanding hits him. “You’re my…victim? ” If the pause hadn’t made his thoughts on the matter clear, the sneer currently marring his face certainly does. His next words only verify what we can all clearly see. “But, you’re a man.”

I should have known better. Nobody is going to believe me. Why did I think this was a good idea? Run. I need to run.Folding in on myself, I start to take a step back, but Teddy takes a step closer to me as Max invades the detective’s personal space.
