I whine, nails digging into his skin, probably leaving marks, but I don’t care. I want him. I want this, and he’s being… stubborn.

“Now, alpha!” I don’t mean to bark at him. I really don’t. But it still snaps out of me.

“Finally.” Forsythe grins as his hips slam forward, his knot pushing into me and locking into place as we both come, crying out our pleasure at the same time.

A second later, he tilts his head, his teeth sink horizontally into the front of my throat, and the first flicker of our bond sparks to life in my chest.

“Now you, omega,” Forsythe murmurs, lifting my head to his neck. “Bite your alpha. Claim him.”

I do without hesitation, without question. My teeth sink into his neck, just under his jaw, and the bond between us flares and blooms, bright and hot and sweet, before it settles into… certainty. Solid and strong and calm.

The foundation on which all the other bonds in the pack can grow and build and thrive.

The last piece clicking into place.

He grins down at me, red smearing his teeth. “You feel gorgeous, cor mea.The brightest light of my soul.”

I smile back, tears pricking my eyes, pure happiness flowing through my veins, my own and theirs. Our pack.

Forsythe rolls us until he’s on his back and I’m draped over him, still locked on his knot. I nestle into him, as he wraps his arms around me.

“Oh, I see how it is,” Court grumbles as he flops next to us. “You go last so you can keep your knot in her.”

Forsythe shrugs, unapologetic. “Perks of being the prime. Come here, love. Let me see your new bites.”

I lift my head to find him looking at Piers, who shuffles closer to our other side, head tilted back just slightly, to show off his four new mating marks. “You should bite him too,” I murmur. “In the same place you bit me.”

I feel the flare of heat from both of them, telling me they like the idea, so I try to shift off the alpha, to give them the spaceto bond again. But his knot is still locked tight inside me and all I manage is to make us both hiss in both pain and pleasure.

“Don’t move, cor mea,” Forsythe growls, even as he reaches for Piers, hooking his hand around the back of his neck and pulling him down into a kiss that makes my toes curl just watching it.

Our prime shifts until his mouth is brushing Piers’ ear and he murmurs something, I can’t make out. They shift and I watch, entranced, as Forsythe sinks his teeth into Piers’ neck. The beta cries out. There’s a flare in our bonds, bright and sharp, and when it fades, I can feel our beta even stronger than I could before. Like Forsythe somehow used his bite to bind Piers and I together even tighter, stronger.

I’m not even sure if that’s possible.

Piers pulls back, and Forsythe’s thumb brushes against the edge of the new mark. “So pretty. So ours.” His amber eyes flick to me. “Both of you.”

I make a happy little humming sound and snuggle down into his chest as someone drapes a blanket over us, settling into the feeling of the five bonds thrumming in my chest. In my heart, in my soul.

Their different forms of love fill me up…

Court, slightly chaotic but devoted.

Grieves, protection and possession.

Thayer, calm and focused.

Piers, warmth and pure joy.

And Forsythe-

It takes me a moment to parse out what he’s feeling: smug pride.

But why?

His hands stroke up and down my spine as I try to figure it out. I mean beyond just the obvious that we’re bonded now. A complete pack.

I think of the way he’d moved so slow, but steady, how he didn’t let go until I’d barked at him to, the way he’d grinned as he said, ‘finally’.
