That isn’t about to change just because I met a very, veryhot, random stranger in a public bathroom.
Is it?
No, Cassandra.
He’s tall, probably just hitting six feet. His hair and eyes are dark, eyelids hooded while he wears a devious smirk, making him appear broody, yet mischievous.
He’s wearing a navy-blue button-up shirt with rolled-up sleeves, showing off his drool-worthy forearms.
They’re covered in tattoos, but even the tattoos aren’t enough to hide the veins.
Maybe I can be the one-night stand type of girl, just once.
But I can’t just leave my birthday party, can I?
No, Cassandra.
"I’ll be out here if you change your mind.” He winks and closes the door behind him.
Taking one final, deep breath, I find the courage to head back to the party, where I make my way straight for the bar.
"Two shots of vodka, please,” I say to the bartender.
At that moment, I make a promise to enjoy myself. Because the people here deserve the best version of me.
I won’t be a negative nelly.
Not tonight.
I accept every drink handed to me, dance until my feet hurt, and take pictures until I’m too intoxicated to walk and my poor father has to carry me home.

This last month hasbeen absolute chaos. I haven’t had a chance to even scratch my head.
Somehow, I’ve planned three bridal teas, four engagement parties, and two weddings. Including the wedding of my ex-sister-in-law, Megan. And the day is finally upon us.
Has it been easy?
God,no.
But I made it work.
I’ve avoided thinking about my ex-boyfriend or even saying his name. When he needed to be mentioned during the final touches of wedding planning, Megan would refer to him as ‘my brother,’ and his mom, Angela, would say ‘my son.’
I appreciated it.
He’s a groomsman, so I expected to hear about him in some capacity.
"Is there anything left to do for tomorrow?" my colleague, Janelle, asks, poking her head through my open office door.
Her jet-black hair is slicked back in a tight ponytail, and her dark eyes appear as exhausted as I feel.
"I don’t think so."
The vendors Megan had chosen were ones we used regularly. They’re top choices for most of our clients, so we’re accustomed to each other’s expectations. It made the show easier to run.
