“Do you know who it belongs to?” the secretary asks, and I look at the girl, tilting my head. Why is she so nervous?Beads of sweat drip down her forehead, and she can’t seem to stand still, fidgeting with her ugly clothes. Her eyes collide with mine, but then she looks down to answer Roberta.

“Kade Langley,” she states, then leaves the office.Interesting.Roberta looks at me and hands me the phone.

“See to it that Mr. Langley gets his phone back,” she says, and I nod.

“Will do.” Then I turn towards the dean, who is waiting for me.

“I see you have everything in order, Mr. Mercer,” he states, and I nod, following him into his office.

“Yes, sir. Everything is running smoothly this year. How are our numbers doing?” I ask. I’m always curious how many complaints we get that go away with a snap of the finger. He laughs, which tells me they are high.

“You boys have been busy, I see. That’s okay, though. Lockridge feeds off their obedience. No one would dare to go against us. Not even Crimson Hollow.”

“Yes, sir,” I say, but he’s wrong. I sit down opposite him, and I almost want to correct him. I don’t think he really knows anything about Crimson Hollow. They are much worse than we are. Elliot deals with them, and the couple of times I was with him and met those guys, I knew the power they held, and it was far more dangerous than what this school could handle.

“We have an event at the end of December. I would like you boys to attend, and please bring a plus one. It’s a black-tie type of night. Please extend the invitation to your mother as well,” he states, and my fists tighten in my lap at the mention of my mother, but I smile and nod.

“Of course, sir. Is there anything else?” I ask, and he grins.

“Yes. When you speak to your mother, let her know the girl is handled.” I raise a brow.

“I don’t mean to pry, but what girl?” I ask, but he shakes his head.

“That’s between me and her. If she wanted you privy to that information, you’d know. But keep up the good work, Grayson,” he praises, then waves me off, dismissing me.

Standing, I leave the room, thinking about his words. What girl could my mother be speaking about, and what did the dean do for her?God, I hate her.Walking down the hall, I hear someone shouting my name. I glance over my shoulder and see Elliot jogging up to me.

“Yo, party tonight before the snowstorm starts,” he says, and I nod.

“I know, Kade let me know. I already have the juniors stealing all the tennis balls.” I laugh, and he follows.

“Nice. Also, are you aware of the purple cocks taped to your dorm room door?” he asks, and my eyes widen.

“What?” I grit, and he chuckles, putting his hands up in surrender.

“It wasn’t me, but whoever did it…” He trails off, taking his phone out. Then pushes the device into my face. Sure enough, there’s my door with different-sized purple dicks taped to it. My jaw locks, and my fist tightens.Rowyn wants to play, huh? I’ll give her something to play with. “Come on, man, it's hilarious. Don’t be so serious.” He laughs, and my eyes narrow at him.

“Ha-ha. So funny,” I seethe, which only makes him laugh harder.

“Okay, man. I gotta run. See you tonight,” he says, patting my shoulder, then jogging off in the opposite direction. Guess I have some things to clean up before tonight.I’m going to kill this girl.

Taking the stairs, I go to her room and pound on the door. It swings open, and Misti Brewer narrows her eyes at me.

“What the hell do you want?” she asks, completely annoyed by my presence. I look over her shoulder and see that nerdy kid Spencer half naked in her bed.

“Where’s Rowyn?” I growl, and she goes to slam the door, but I stick my foot out to stop it. “Don’t make me ask again,” I state, and she huffs.

“I’m not diming my girl out, and I need you and your stupid friends to stay the fuck away from her,” she spits, making me smirk.

“Request denied,” I simply state, and she growls, stepping closer to me, poking her finger against my chest.

“I swear to God if you—” But she’s cut off when Spencer lifts her up and drags her into the room, tossing her onto the bed.

“Sorry, man,” he says, smacking her ass, and I laugh. “She’s in the library. She tutors,” he tells me, and I wink. Well, that was easy. So I shut the door as Misti goes off on him for giving up her friend’s location. Rowyn got lucky today. Tomorrow, though, is another day of torture.
