I force myself out of her room, heading into the kitchen for my jacket. I pick it up from the floor, ignoring the cold material sliding against my skin as I put it on. My heart crawls into my throat as I lift my head and see her walking down the hall toward me.
She’s breathtaking.
Her hair’s a mess with that just-thoroughly-fucked look. My T-shirt swims on her and stops just along the middle of her thighs. I want to push it up and bend her over the counter, exposing her bare ass and pussy.
“You’re so fucking sexy,” I rasp, my eyes raking the length of her as she walks over to me. She grabs the bottom of my jacket, sliding the zipper up to the base of my throat. Her fingers dance along my skin, toying with the white gold chain around my neck.
“Likewise.”
“Do you have plans this weekend?”
She shakes her head. “No, I don’t think so.”
“My sisters and some of the guys are coming over. I didn’t know if you—well, if you’d maybe want to come too.”
My stomach flutters, heat creeping across my face and I replay the stupid sentence inside my head. Why the hell did I stumble over my words like that? I’m a grown ass adult, not a little schoolboy.
Jade lets go of my chain, running her hands down the front of my bomber jacket. My cock’s already hard but I try to ignore it. Clearly, I’m not in control of anything anymore.
“Are you sure?” She rolls her lips between her teeth, her expression unreadable. “I don’t want to intrude with your friends and family being there.”
I cock my head to the side, my eyes scanning her face. “You’re not intruding if I invite you over. Plus, I want them all to meet you.”
She’s silent for a beat. Her throat bobs and her eyes widen, just slightly, as she stares up at me. “Why?”
My heart gallops inside my chest. I’ve never met anyone like her before. She challenges me and keeps me on my toes. Things with her, they never feel dry or boring. When I’m not with her, all I can think about is when I get to see her again.
I’ve become an addict and she’s my drug of choice.
“I think everyone should know you.”
She sucks in a shallow breath. “Matteo…”
I need her to stop. She can’t say something to send reality crashing down around us. I don’t do this, ever. I’ve never invited a woman over to meet my sisters or my friends. Hell, I never invite women to my home, I only ever go to theirs.
She’s causing me to change the game. The rules and the lines—they cease to exist.
I want her in my space. I want my friends and family to know her. If I sit and think about it, if I acknowledge the significance of that, everything’s going to go up in flames.
“Don’t overthink it, Sunny. I’m not, so you can’t either.”
“Okay,” she says with a little shrug, a small smile tugging on the corners of her lips. “I need your address and a time. I can bring something too.”
I step closer, my hands cupping the sides of her face as I tilt her head back. “Just bring yourself. That’s all I need.”
Fuck me.
Before she can say anything, I bring my face to hers, silencing her with my lips. I’m making a lot of mistakes, saying a lot of things without filtering my words first.
“Goodnight, Sunny,” I say, pulling away from her—forcing myself away. She follows me to the door, where I stop to slip my shoes on. “I’ll text you when I’m home.”
“Dream of me,” she says with a wink as I pull open the door. Her eyes shimmer beneath the light, soft and blue.
“Oh, I will.”
Jade blows me a kiss, shutting the door before we end up stumbling back into her bedroom, wrapped up in one another. I rake my hand through my hair as I step onto the elevator, a heavy sigh escaping me. Things between us, they’ll never go back to what they were before we fucked.
Jade Wilson is everything I thought I never wanted… and everything I can’t imagine not having now.
