“Then why are there tears in your eyes?”

“I don’t know.”

“Yes, you do,” he said, his voice the softest it had ever been with me “Tell me why.”

I looked back into his eyes then. “You kiss me, you strip me, and you won’t look at me.”

“I am looking at you,” he said.

“You won’t look at my body.”

“Angel.” It came out as a quiet, hushed laugh, causing my heart to leap. “You haven’t given me permission to look at you.”

I—what?

I lifted my head up to look at him even more, and I looked at his groin. There was a noticeable bulge that sent a chill down my body.

My demon washuge.

“As I told you months ago, I am not gay, Karina. Far from. But I will hold your eyes until you want me to look at you. I won’t touch you unless you want me to.”

“But you kissed me,” I whispered.

“A momentary lapse in control,” he said, waving a hand around.

“Do you want to look at me?” I questioned.

His jaw clenched, and he turned his head to look at the window. “I want a lot more than that, but I am grateful for anything you give me.”

Grateful.

I rubbed my thighs together, unable to help the desperate need for friction between my legs. “I want you.”

He snapped his head back to me, brows lifted. “What?”

“I want you.”

“Want me to what?” he urged, every muscle in his body tensing before me.

“I just want you, Collin. All that you can give me,” I whispered.

I knew that somewhere deep down, underneath those layers of darkness, my Collin was in there. My Collin, who laughed atmy jokes and held my hair back when I was face to face with a toilet bowl. The guy who stood up for me. The guy who would randomly stop by the burger joint to check on me. Goodness was in him, and I wasn’t afraid to go into the darkness to find it again.

“Look at my body, please. Please look at me,” I begged out loud for the first time.

The words felt foreign on my tongue. A pained look flashed across his face before his icy blue eyes trailed down my body. The room was silent as he drank me in, slowly, as if he was trying to burn the image of me into his retinas.

“Perfect,” he breathed. “You areperfect, Karina.”

His words caused my aching heart to scream for joy. I'd wanted to hear those words for years, those words from his lips.

“Do you want me?” I questioned, my voice shaking with emotion

He pulled his eyes away from my breasts to meet mine.

“Icraveyou,” he growled, leaning over me, his tattooed hands landing on either side of my head, his thighs brushing the inside of mine as I spread my legs for him.

“Collin,” I gasped, my body trembling underneath him though he had yet to touch me.
