We got our happy ending.

“Voydy vie moiu stranu, the umresh,” my demon said calmly into his phone.
Enter my country, you will die.
There was a dark chuckle on the other end of the line before Col hung up and put it into his suit jacket.
It had been a year since Ray Romano’s death and Col’s rise into power.
He was now the Mafia King of the United States, working with the FBI and my brother. Jermey was the new king of St. Louis, running the underground while keeping the peace. He and Col have been working closely together on the runs—drugs, ammo, guns…the dark side of Sullie and Dom’s empire that we never really got to see.
The Russian Mafia had been trying to move in since the death of Tony Romano, Collin’s biological brother.
“How do you want me to handle it, boss?” Kevin Matthews asked from his seat.
My lover’s ice blue eyes landed on his partner’s. It had been a long time coming, but I think both of them had finally worked through their weird bromance. Kevin started out low in the ranks, but over the course of just a few months, he proved himself not only to Jer, Dean, and James, but to Collin. He proved he could be trusted, even more so when he showed James the rest of the Matthews’ warehouses. There were two more: one in Seattle and one in upstate New York.
“That Russian prick is just talking up his game, Kev. He's in Moscow as we speak,” Col replied, looking out the jet window. He looked good—happy.
After five years, he finally let his hair grow out. His thick black locks were slicked back on his head, but he kept his sides buzzed, making him look more menacing.
“We have a meeting at Oasis in two days. Just got a text from Dontell,” Kevin said, looking at his phone. He had changed, too. His hair was longer in the back, which made his green eyes look striking against his olive skin.
I could feel a pair of blue eyes on me, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand at attention.
“Angel,” he murmured, his low voice sending shivers down my spine. I looked over to find his eyes making their descent down my body, slowly, drinking in every single inch of me.
“Yes?”
He brought his finger up to his mouth, rubbing his bottom lip as he lowered his ankle from his knee. He spread his leg slowly, the dark fabric of his slacks stretching over his muscles. We had just landed on our private airstrip in St. Louis.
Today was Sunday, and that meant dinner at Sullie’s bar, which he was expanding with a Chicago restaurant for me to run...Kay’s Hangout.
It was a gift from him to me, since Jeremy got the Crew. My friends don’t know about it yet, though I know that they suspect something. For the last month or so, while Sullie hunted down a location, I had been curating a menu, making all the island staff try it. My demon didn’t like I was distracting his men from their jobs, but those boys were huge. They needed food. Bella would be my manager of the restaurant; I needed someone to run the front of the house while I cooked.
Col told me he didn’t want me overworking myself, and he would much rather have me stay in our bed all day.
Men.
“Leave us,” he ordered, his eyes still on me.
Kevin got up and shot me a wink as he made his way to the front of the plane. I heard a light giggle behind me, and I knew he'd found his flight attendant. They'd been sneaking around for the last month or so. Good for him.
“Karina.”
My eyes snapped back to my demon, and he patted his thigh. “Come to me.”
I unbuckled my seat belt and rose slowly from the chair. Once I was in front of him, he leaned forward, unbuttoning my jean shorts. “What did I tell you about wearing these around my men? Hm?”
I smiled. “You don’t get to control what I wear, Col.”
His tattooed hands pushed my shorts down, before he made a low growl of approval. “Want to tell me why my pussy is bare?”
I sucked my bottom lip between my teeth for a second. “Maybe because my demon of a husband keeps ripping all my underwear before he fucks me.”
A sinful grin formed on his handsome face, and suddenly two of his fingers were inside me. My hands snapped to his shoulders as I let out a moan. “Oh, God.”
