She moaned weakly, but the nurse put her hand firmly on Jessabella’s belly, pressing down hard until she expelled a translucent placenta, rich with blood, and then our Omega was truly done.

“Amazing job, sweetie,” I said as Alexei collected it to plant under a tree later.

“I love you so much,” she said weakly, but her eyes were shining and I wiped away my own tears as they placed both babies in her arms, wrapped in bright yellow fabric printed with duckies.

“Welcome to the world, Evangeline and Frederick,” Alexei said, gripping my shoulder as he kissed Jessabella’s cheek. “I love you, Jess. I love you, Theo.”

I felt my insides liquify, warm and squishy love bursting out of me.

“I love you Alexei. I love you Theo,” Jessabella said, and I joined in eagerly, Jessabella and Alexei and I’s voices running over and through and under each other, making a chorus of shared love and togetherness as we looked down at our newborn babies.

The best day of my life with the loves of my life!

Epilogue (Jessabella)

The door to Koval Manor swung open to greet us.

We were fully staffed now, with plenty of well-paid workers for every position. But Alexei and Theo still sometimes did a shift down at the laundry. For old time’s sake. They said they had developed aparticularaffection for it.

“Welcome, Duke, Duchess, my lords and ladies! Did you all have a good picnic?”

“Yes,” I smiled. “The best.”

I turned to see my Alphas following closely behind, each with a one-year-old baby on their shoulders, Evangeline with her bright curls and Frederick with his dark ones, both dressed in identical sun hats with tiny elephants.

“Why don’t you go put your feet up and have a cup of tea?” Theo suggested, giving me a kiss, his lips lingering appreciatively on mine as Baby Frederick pulled at his strong, thick hair.

It was a warm day and the tendons in his arms flexed with the effort of carrying the heavy picnic basket.

But nothing was sexier than what he said next.

“You’ve been working so hard, you need a break. We’ll put them down for their naps.”

“All right,” I said.

Damn, I was the luckiest girl in the world, I thought as I took a cup of lavender tea into the manor sitting room, the floor covered in baby toys, colorful blankets, and stuffies.

When my former Pack had stayed here, they insisted on a pristine sitting room at all times. I was much happier with how things were now.

So much happier.

“Oh my God,” Alexei said dramatically twenty minutes later, as he flopped on the couch beside me and bent to kiss my head. “We need to go for a picnic every day. They went down so fast. Usually it’s like herding cats.”

“Poor baby,” I said affectionately. “Do you need a nap too?”

“Hell no,” he said, kissing a line down my throat. “I’m up for anything you want to do, my lady. That’s one of the benefits of a strong young Pack, you know. We have all the energy to do whatever our sexy as hell older Omega wants.”

I laughed, nodding over to where there were two more steaming cups of lavender tea.

“Something for ya’ll to drink.”

“Oh sweetheart,” Theo protested, his dark eyes anxious. “You’re too kind. You didn’t have to do that. You were supposed to be relaxing,” he added with mock-sternness.

“But isn’t that what Omegas are here for?” I teased. “To serve Alphas?”

Alexei put his cup down firmly and hurried to my feet. “Absolutely not,” he said seriously, and I felt a frisson of heat blossom inside me. “Alphas exist to serve Omegas.”

“I can think of a few Packs in Winter Haven who would disagree,” I smiled.
