Then he takes my hand, and I release a breath. My shoulders relax as emotions swell in my chest. Kane pulls me into his lap. There’s nothing gentle about it. There aren’t any pretenses, and he doesn’t hold back. I straddle him, my bare skin brushing denim, and let him look at me.
He touches my face, his thumb rough against my cheek. He brings our foreheads together, and for a second, neither of us breathes. Then his mouth is on mine. It’s not a kiss as much as it is survival, like if he lets go for even a second, we’ll both disappear. He bites my lip hard enough to sting and I moan, leaning in, subconsciously daring him to do it again. And he does, this time like a brand. I arch into him, grinding down. Kane shudders, his hands finding my hips.
“Do you want this?” I ask, somewhat afraid for the answer. “Do you want me?”
He breathes for a moment, then looks me in the eye. “No.”
My heart stops, devastation blooming inside me.
“I need this. Need you.” His eyes flick across my face.
My breath hitches, and a single tear falls.
“I’m in this.” He nods. “You’re ours.”
I kiss him and eagerly peel his shirt over his head. He helps me, then lifts enough to free his dick. Kane lines himself up and thrusts into me in one brutal stroke. He glides in, deep, the pressure shocking. I gasp, and he groans while bucking up into me. We find a rhythm that’s savage and unrestrained. He fucks me like he’s punishing us both, and I meet every thrust with equal force, loving the way he fills me.
We barely notice the others, but I know they’re there, watching. And it’s almost overwhelming. We’re doing this. It’s unconventional, but it’s ours. Throwing my head back, I ride the wave, giving myself to him fully. It doesn’t take long for my body to chase another release.
I’m close, so close, and he senses it. Kane slows down, rolling his hips, changing the angle until I see stars. He brushes my hair out of my face, holds my chin so that I have no choice but to look at him. I watch his face twist in pleasure, feel his grip tightening.
Then he kisses, deep and slow, while keeping pace. I fall apart on him, sobbing his name. Having come three times back-to-back, Kane has to wrap an arm around me to keep me from falling into a puddle around him. After a few more thrusts, he quickly lifts me up and finishes on my stomach.
Breathless, he kisses me before tucking his face against my ear. “I love you, too.”
An hour later, a knock at the door jars our attention. We stare at each other, equally confused.
“Who’s that?” Kane asks as he stands.
“Don’t ask me, this is your house,” I answer and glance at Alex.
Mountain fixes his eyes on the door. “One of you expecting someone?”
Alex peers out the window, his brows creasing. “It’s Gracie.”
Moving toward the door, Alex unlocks it and pulls it open.
“Hey,” Gracie mutters, and there’s sadness in her tone.
The moment Gracie sees me her entire body shudders. Sad eyes stare back at me, and I immediately sense she is not okay.
“What’s wrong?” I reach out to hug her.
Gracie’s shoulders shake before the sound of her cries fills the air. Guiding her farther into the house, I continue to hold her. Alex closes the door, then joins my side. Thinking fast, he rushes into the kitchen and returns a second later with paper towels. I take them from him, and without breaking my hold on Gracie, I slowly walk us over to the loveseat.
“Did something happen? Are you okay?”
Finally, I pull away and allow her to sit. Her eyes are bloodshot red, far redder than they should be for this to be the first time she’s cried today. Whatever it is, it’s eating at her. I can see the worry in her gaze, the fear, the regret. She takes the paper towel when I hand it to her, using it to dry her eyes.
“What’s wrong, Gracie?”
She looks at me, her face contorting as she fights to keep from heaving. “I’m sorry.”
Taken aback, I glance around at the boys who share my confused expression. “For what?”
“I need to tell you something.” She drops her head and rips at the used tissue.
“Gracie.” I sit down beside her, taking her trembling hands in mind. “Breathe. You’re one of the best people I’ve met in my life. There’s nothing you can say that will change that.”
