“What’s that?”

“My uncles must have destroyed my bike to scare me. Without them, I never would have come to your shop and we never would have found each other.”

A low growl sounded in Bear’s chest. “They don’t get the fucking credit for us being together. I would have found you some other way, I know it. No force in the universe could have kept me away from you.”

My chest filled with warmth, and I pulled him in for a kiss. I couldn’t express how much his words meant to me, but I hoped he could feel it.

“Where are the others?” I finally asked.

“Planning our trip,” he said.

My heart sank. We were returning to Luna.

He ran his hands down my back until he cupped my ass. “Why did that make you tense, baby?”

“I just… I don’t know. I’m not sure what it’s going to be like to go back home.”

Bear let out a sigh, rotating us so we were on our sides facing each other. “Whenwego home, we’ll go home together. You need to stop preparing for us to leave you,” he said sternly. He waited for me to nod before he continued. “But I’m talking about our trip to Greece.”

My lips parted. “What?”

“Apparently, Henry pretty much had the trip completely planned already. I shouldn’t be surprised.” He tucked my hair behind my ear and grinned. “We’re leaving in a couple of days. They’re just finalizing the details.”

My mouth opened and closed as words escaped me.

“You are going to let us love you,” he said, wrapping his fingers in my hair.

“I can’t believe you love me,” I said, my voice small.

“I’ve been loving you all along, baby. Now it’s time to let yourself feel it.”

Warmth and fear trickled through me as I thought of all the love I’d experienced—from my parents, from Cat—and how painful it had been when it was torn away. I’d stuffed that pain deep inside me, locked it away in that tiny metal box. But maybe the grief I refused to feel was proof that I had loved and been loved. And maybe I could be brave enough to do it again with these four men.

I stared deep into Bear’s eyes, feeling like I was about to step off a cliff. “I love you, too.”

“I know, baby.” He tucked me into his chest and held me as I fell apart.

HENRY

Bear walked out of the bedroom with a huge smile on his face.

I raised my brows. “I take it things went well?” I was sitting at the kitchen counter with my laptop, making sure everything was lined up for our trip.

“Yeah,” he said, stretching his arms. His shirt rode up, revealing his tan abs. I averted my gaze before he caught me staring.

We’d all been scared and hurt by Westin leaving last night, but Bear had taken it the hardest. I didn’t know much about his past, but the pieces I’d gathered were not happy ones.

I frowned when I didn’t see Westin emerge from the hallway. “Where is she now?” I asked. I might not be an alpha, but that didn’t mean it was any easier for me to be apart from her.

Bear took a bottle of water out of the fridge. “She’s in the shower.”

“I’m surprised you’re not in there with her,” Gray said as he and Liam joined us.

Bear’s lips twisted into a grimace.

“She kicked you out?” Liam asked with a grin.
