They both scowled at me, realizing they’d been played.
“I thought we said never to use that talent on us,” Gray growled.
“Yeah, well, you deserve it for taking away my Pac-Man.”
“Wegaveyou Pac-Man,” Liam huffed. “Now, no more arguing. You’re going to put a heating pad on your hand, eat dinner, and then we’re all going to bed.”
“At least I get a turn now,” Henry said, rubbing his hands together.
“As if you could beat me.” I grinned.
“Just you wait,” he responded with a wink.

WESTIN
Icouldn’t sleep. My insomnia had been intense since finishing chemo, like my body couldn’t quite let go enough to surrender to rest. Gray slept beside me, his arm slung across my middle. He told me to wake him if I couldn’t sleep, but I didn’t want to do that. All of my guys had been running themselves ragged this past month and needed rest. I was especially worried about Liam. I thought he would relax once chemo was over, but he seemed tenser than ever.
I carefully rolled out from underneath Gray’s arm. I couldn’t lay here anymore. Maybe I could play a couple games of Pac-Man. I’d probably be ready to sleep after that.
I crept into the living room, stopping abruptly when I saw someone already sitting at the Pac-Man machine.
I crossed my arms. “Henry,” I hissed. He whirled around to face me, a guilty look on his face.
“What are you doing up?” he whispered.
“What areyoudoing?” I asked, coming to stand by his side.
“Just practicing,” he mumbled. I saw that he had overtaken the number ten spot on the leaderboard.
“Trying to beat my high score?” I grinned.
“Maybe,” he said, the light from the machine illuminating the adorable blush on his face.
“Let’s see what you’ve got then.” I cocked an eyebrow.
He grinned. “I should tell you to go back to bed.”
“But you won’t.”
He huffed. “But I won’t.”
He started a new game and we whisper-cheered and groaned our way through it. I leaned on his shoulder as I gave him tips, earning an accusation of being a back-seat driver.
The sound of a voice clearing had us both whirling around. Gray stood with his arms crossed against his bare chest, an unimpressed look on his face.
“Shit,” I said.
He crooked his finger at me.
“You’re in trouble,” Henry whispered.
I threw him a dirty look before walking towards my alpha.
“I thought I told you not to get out of bed without me,” he said.
I shifted side to side under his stern gaze. “I couldn’t sleep.”
