GRAY

We drove another few hours after we left Solem until we got to a small town with a single hotel.

“I stayed here years ago and it was much nicer,” Henry muttered as we walked out of a Mexican restaurant near the hotel. My hand was on Westin’s back and I was resisting the urge to pull her into my arms as we passed a small group of men.

“I feel like we’re going to get jumped any moment,” Liam said, looking over the dark parking lot as we walked to the car.

“Oh my gosh!” Westin shouted, making the four of us jump and surround our omega to protect her from danger.

“What are you doing?” Westin asked with a snort, shoving me aside. “We’re not under attack. But look at that!”

She pointed at a decrepit brick building with a bright neon sign that said Skatetown, except theeandwwere burned out.

I turned back to Westin to see a bright, hopeful look in her eyes. Fuck, she was about to ask us to do something absolutely ridiculous, and we would all agree because who could say no when her eyes looked like that? Maybe if I didn’t look at her, I could stand my ground. But I couldn’t find it in myself to look away.

“It’s a sign! The universe wants me to skate. Can we go? I have my skates and I’m sure they have ones inside you can rent,” she pleaded.

I met Liam’s gaze over her head and he sighed, giving a resigned nod. I was trying to get along with him better. My alpha still saw him as an unwanted challenger to my authority, but I wouldn’t win any points with Westin if we fought again.

“Fuck yes,” Bear shouted. “Let’s do it.”

“It, uh, doesn’t look very nice,” Henry hedged.

Liam’s lips twisted into a grin.

“Skating rinks aren’t supposed to look nice,” Westin said with a sniff. “The grungier, the better.” She moved her body closer to mine. “Are you in?” she asked.

“You’re doing this on purpose.” I looked pointedly down to where her breasts brushed against my chest.

“Is it working?” she asked breathlessly, stepping even closer.

“Fine,” I growled. As if I could deny her anything, especially after the stressful day she’d had. Westin squealed and was about to bounce away when I grasped her firmly around the waist.

I lowered my lips to her ear. “You’ll be a good girl in there.”

Her breath hitched and she melted in my arms. “Of course, daddy. I’m always a good girl.”

I tilted her head back so she could see my doubtful expression. “Uh huh.”

She grinned. “Don’t be a scaredy cat. Come skate!” She slipped out of my hold and ran towards the building. Bear bounded after her, picking her up and twirling her in the parking lot.

“Are we really doing this?” Henry asked.

“You should have told her no. You’re the beta,” Liam said. “Shouldn’t you be able to resist omega charms?”

“Omega charms? Yes. Westin’s charms? Never,” Henry said with a snort.

I grinned, slapping him on the shoulder. “Well, I guess we better get in there. See if your rich ass can survive the horrors of Skatetown.”

He rolled his eyes but smiled good-naturedly at my teasing. I grabbed Westin’s skates from the trailer and the three of us hurried to follow her and Bear.

“Oh my gosh, it’s disco night,” Westin said, reading the sign on the door. “I wish I was wearing a better outfit.” She frowned at her jeans and black tank top. “I need something sparkly.”

God, she was hot. Her tank top molded to her breasts and her jeans showed off her heart-shaped ass. I wanted to see it turn red under my hands.

“You’re sparkly enough for us all,” Bear grunted.
