“You alright, sweetheart?” Liam asked.

“Put it on fucking speaker,” I heard Bear say, and I grinned.

“Everything is fine. I’m coming back out now,” I said. I felt lighter with every step as we got closer to the car.

“We’re free to go, then?” I asked Agent West.

“You are.” She signaled to the two beta guards.

I threw the passenger door open and got in, breathing deeply when all my guys’ scents hit me. They were pissed off as fuck, but I didn’t care. It just feltrightto be back with them.

Bear reached forward and pulled me into the back. I giggled as I fell on top of my three alphas.

“Hey,” Henry protested, looking back at us. I reached my hand out and took his, holding it tight.

“We’re good to go,” I said, staring up at my three furious alphas.

Their hands were all over me, grabbing whatever body part they could as I lay across them.

“What did they want?” Gray ran his hands up and down my legs.

“They just wanted to make sure I felt safe with everyone in my pack, and I said yes.”

“Your pack,” Liam said, caressing my face.

“Yeah.” Our arrangement might only be temporary, but I allowed myself to get lost in the fantasy. I couldn’t even regret itwhen a broad smile spread across his face as he leaned down to kiss me.

“They’re waving us on,” Henry said. “You need to get back in your seat.”

I crawled to the front seat—Bear cupping my ass as I made my way over the center console—and buckled up. Henry’s hand was immediately on my thigh, squeezing hard as the gate lifted for us and we drove into Sol.

We were just notified you left Luna Province and are deeply concerned about your safety. Please let us know you’re ok.

“What the hell?” I looked down at my phone, fingers clenched around it.

“What is it?” Bear asked, leaning over the center console from the back seat.

“My uncle just texted me. Apparently, they were fucking notified that I left Luna.” White-hot anger rose inside me. The government had supposedly abolished the guardianship law for unbonded omegas. My uncles shouldn’t have been told a single thing about my whereabouts.

“Are you kidding me?” Henry asked, turning to look at me. “That’s illegal.”

“Fucking classic.” I closed the text message. This new government had promised a lot to omegas, but the delivery of those promises had been pathetic. Also, since when hadmy uncles ever been concerned about my safety? The whole situation made my skin crawl.

“I’m sorry, princess,” Gray said. His jaw was tight, his eyes blazing with anger, but his tone was calm and even. “They can’t bother you here.”

I nodded, putting my phone back in my bag. I wouldn’t let my uncles ruin this day. I was out of Luna for the first time in my life, and that was something to celebrate. The sun warmed my skin through the car window and I tilted my face towards it, letting it soothe the jagged edges of my anger.

Henry rubbed my leg. “There it is, the bridge into Solem, the largest port city in Sol.”

We drove around a bend in the road, and a large white suspension bridge stretched ahead of us, seemingly for miles across a vast river.

“I figured we could stop there for lunch,” Henry continued. “There’s an amazing fish and chips stand.”
