Liam cleared his throat. “What did yourboyfrienddo?”
“He worked at the club in the kitchens and managed to steal the key. One night, after it was closed, we snuck in. We spent hours drinking and doing, uh,otherthings. We almost got away with the whole thing, but the overnight cleaning staff must have heard us and the cops showed up at four in the morning. I was only in jail for a few hours before my aunt came and got me out.”
Bear dragged me out of Henry’s lap and onto his own. “You’re a dangerous little thing, aren’t you?”
“I try,” I said. “Are you going to tell me your arrest story?”
His hold tightened on me. “Another time,” he muttered.
I ran my fingers down his face. There was a tightness there that I didn’t like seeing. I leaned in and kissed him, and he quickly cupped my face, deepening the kiss.
Someone cleared their throat and I pulled away, satisfied when I saw Bear’s expression soften.
“Alright,” I said, turning back to the others. “Gray?”
“Never have I ever had sex with a stranger,” he said.
“You do surprise me,” I responded, grabbing the tequila. After I drank, I nudged Liam and handed him the bottle. He blushed and took a drink.
“How did you know that?” Bear asked as he grabbed the alcohol.
“Because the stranger was me,” I said.
“What?” Gray roared, standing up as his eyes shot daggers at Liam. “You had sex with her in the hospital?”
“Oh my god, the alcohol is supposed to make everyone less uptight,” I said, flopping against Liam’s side. He pulled me into his lap.
“Course I fucking didn’t,” Liam growled. “I would never do anything to put Westin’s safety at risk.”
“So how did you meet?” Henry asked. I shot him a grateful look at his calm presence amongst the worked-up alphas.
“We had a wonderful night together after we met onSugar Nest,” I said.
Gray choked on the water he’d just drunk.
“Do I need to take that away from you?” I asked, scrunching my nose as I scooted his water out of his reach.
“You went on an app? That’s so fucking dangerous,” he said.
I shrugged and snuggled into Liam. “Worked out well for me.”
“Babydoll, how is it you’ve doneeverythingeven with the shit government we’ve had?” Bear asked.
“I had a very adventurous youth, and it’s about time I got back to my roots,” I said, a smile playing on my lips. The tequila was hitting me hard and my eyelids grew heavy.
Liam pulled me close to his chest. “You getting tired, sweet girl?”
“Maybe.” I’d wanted the game to bring the guys together, but I felt like all I’d done was create more conflict.
“Will you sleep with me tonight?” he asked, his lips grazing my ear.
I nodded, leaning into his chest. I needed Liam’s steadiness and comfort tonight.
I said goodnight to the guys and then Liam carried me into the bedroom. I swallowed around the lump in my throat, unable to imagine a day when we would all go to bed together.
