Lix is the reason we don’t completely lose our minds. He meets her halfway, knows when to pull back but not box her in.
Somehow, between Idris’ care, Lix’s calm, and Em’s drive—andmine—we find a rhythm that works for the four of us.
And we stay in it until the night nearly runs out of dark. The clouds are gone, and the moonlight’s checking in on us through the window like it wants to sneak a peek into Em’s clapping cheeks, taking my cock for like, the ninth time tonight.
It’s way past midnight when Em finally taps out.
Idris is sitting up, concern kicking in. “Okay, everyone,” he says. “Break time. Electrolytes for Em, please.”
Lix pulls on sweats before rushing out to grab some sports drinks for our girl.
It doesn’t take him long to come back. The kitchen’s close, and Lix sprints like a bullet. I’ve barely caught my breath when we’rehanding out drinks and gulping it down like it’s air.
After a while, we’re all laid down across the bed. I’m snuggling up to Lix, who’s holding Em from the left, while Idris is on her right. Good thing this bed ishuge, ‘cause we all fit. Just like we did with Em all night.
I grin at the dirty thought, breathing in Lix’s sweaty musk. Smells so manly and sexy. I hump his ass, while his hand pats my face to stop me.Nice try, babe. I keep going, not caring.
Em sighs softly, breaking the silence, before she says, “Idris said something to me recently, that my pride gets in the way sometimes.”
I stop what I’m doing to look at her. She’s searching Idris’ eyes like they’re holding secrets.
Her pink lips part, her voice barely a whisper between us. “I notice many things. I take pride in that, but I must admit that I don’t always notice when my pride gets in the way.”
Another sigh escapes her pouting lips. She looks absolutely beautiful with the moonlight hitting her like a spotlight.
“Forgive me for using a metaphor, but I sometimes put walls up.” She kisses Idris, then glances between me and Lix. “I’m grateful you all have climbed over them.”
I snort, smirking. “Climb?”
Her eyes are on me, making my heart thump hard. Feels like it’s trying to rip out of my ribs just to get to her. So she can see exactly what she does to me.
“Em,” I say, sitting up, “we’ve been tearing down those walls brick by brick.” I take the last sip of my drink, then add, “And if you even think about rebuilding, we’re bringing in a bulldozer.”
Lix sighs like he regrets every life choice that led him to me. “Your phrasing’s horrific.”
“But accurate,” I shoot back.
He looks at Em, smiling and looking so damn handsome. “But yeah, Stan’s right, Em. We’re not going anywhere.”
That gets her smiling too, looking cozy in Idris’ arms.
I put my empty bottle down on the nightstand. That’s when I spot her glasses. I grab them and slide them on my face.
“So,” I start to say, closing my eyes. “Be honest. How do I look? Like a hot nerd?”
Em giggles, full-on giggles like she never has before. I swear it does things to me.
I open my eyes and turn to look at her, but fuck’s sake, my sight’s blurry as all hell with her glasses on me.
“Holy shit, gorgeous. How blind are you?” I glance down at myself, my hands flying to feel my hard abs. “Can you still see my abs at least? Wait a sec—how big do you think my dick is, if you can’t even see well without these specs?”
Idris chuckles. Lix groans. Em’s still laughing.
I keep the glasses on and keep making jokes, wanting to hear her making sweet sounds of pure happiness forever.
