One song flowed seamlessly into another until eventually, I found myself leaning back, relaxing into him. His grip on my hip tightened when I rolled my body against his.

“I reconsidered your offer,” he grumbled against my neck.

“What?”

It wasn’t that I hadn’t heard him. I had, despite the thumping of Usher’s “Love in this Club” vibrating through the dark room. But if he was saying what I thought he was, he needed to be crystal clear.

He turned my head until I was looking up at him over my shoulder.

“Your list.I’m in.”

“I thought it wasn’t a good idea,” I said, throwing his words back in his face. On an especially slow swivel of my ass against his already burgeoning erection, he groaned. “You know, mixing business with pleasure?”

“It’s not a good idea.” He stopped us from moving altogether before adding, “But if the choice is an awkward work relationship or getting fired for fucking up anybody that touches you, I’ll choose messy any day.”

My eyebrows shot up into my hairline just before he lowered his head and claimed my lips. I returned it with fervor, moaning into his mouth when his hand moved from my chin to the back of my neck, holding me to him for a deep, voracious kiss. There was no turning back now.

We’d sealed our fate.

Soren more than lived up to his nickname.Sin.His mouth alone should come with a warning label.

And his teeth. The man was a goddamn vampire.

Even now, I could feel a hickey blooming on my neck and another on my ear lobe. I’d double-up on concealer tomorrow, but tonight . . . Tonight, he could eat me up. He was already doing a fine job of it.

Our make out session on the dance floor had moved to an alcove by the bathroom. Then the fire escape. Then the coat room. Until finally, we were asked to leave by a nice member of the security staff.

Holy hell, I was asked to leave an establishment. Mama would have a fit.

A giggle bubbled out of my mouth, vibrating against his lips.

“What?” he asked when he came up for air.

“Nothing.”

“Blondie, if you’re laughing, I must not be doing it right.”

My laugh turned into a gasp when he drove his thick thigh a little higher, spreading my legs wider for him. I tugged his mouth back down to mine.

After we were asked to leave Sanctuary—the irony of the club’s name didn’t escape me—Soren had called us a Lyft while I’d said my goodbyes, assuring June and Nessa that I was safe with him. Nessa had driven us to Portland and, much to Pink’s disappointment, she and June were planning on driving back to Rose City tonight.

Which led to here and now—me gyrating against Soren Sinclair’s rock-hard thigh in a dark alley, moaning into his mouth while he gave me the best damn tongue-fucking of my life. I’d never gotten off from dry humping before. I didn’t have the greatest track record of orgasming with a partner in general, but already, I was a few strokes away from exploding.

“Ride, blondie.”

“I am,” I told him, rubbing myself against his thigh, closing in on oblivion.

He smiled against my lips. “No, our ride is here.” My face flushed. “But I like where your head is. Keep it there.”

He punctuated the order with one final peck on my lips.

I followed him into the back of a gray Subaru, aka the Oregon state bird, according to Nessa. Even after we buckled up, he kept a hand on me, cupping my knee, toying with my hand. Who would’ve guessed Soren Sinclair’s love language was physical touch?

“Where are we going?”

“Matty’s place.”

“You told him we were . . .”
