Someone stepped around the corner and it wasn’t Radames. It was Edwin or Edmund. I honestly didn’t give a shit about his name until he earned me getting it right.
“What the fuck?” I demanded. “I’m not going to be able to stop them from killing you for this.”
“No one means you harm. I just need you to come with me.”
“Yeah, I don’t think I’m going to do that. You stole my clothes and you’re in the women’s locker room. You’re buddies with a rapist.”
“I’ll give you your clothes back. It was the only way to get you away from them.”
Edward, apparently, had also locked me in because I heard when Lucian arrived and realized the door was locked. It would take him exactly five seconds to kick the door in and he may very well turn Edgar into his own personal juice box.
Edmund didn’t look particularly afraid and he couldn’t even fight back when Elliot and Petros were flossing his teeth with his boxers.
I realized when he threw a bolt of lightning at me that was just strong enough to knock me completely out that Lola and Radames weren’t the only people here hiding they knew who they were in their first life.

Iliterally ran straight to Sage stark naked with conditioner in my hair and I was still too late. Sage was gone and the locker roomreekedof ozone. A few people in my class had figured out who they were and were coming into their magic. Professor Adamastus encouraged us to use what we had in his class, but don’t kill anyone.
I had enhanced everything now, and I had to stay alive by feeding off the magic in people’s blood. I knew what everyone’s magic smelled like who had used it in front of me. I’d been to Lola and Radames’s crime scenes.
This wasn’t them. Whoever did this had some kind of weather power and they knew how to portal because I could heartwo heartbeats frantically beating in here when I arrived and then they were gone.
Everyone loved Sage and as far as I knew, Lola and Radames weren’t in killing moods anymore because they finally figured out what they were doing wasn’t working. And this wasn’t them.
Liam and Khalid came running in behind me, also naked and covered in soap. Liam had managed to grab his switchblade, which he was waving around like a maniac. He was wild enough to take someone’s eye out by accident and angry enough to stab me again like this wasmyfault.
I took a step away from him. I had no problem biting him again if he came at me with that knife, but I drew the line when his dick was out.
“Where is she?” Liam demanded.
“Someone locked her in and whoever it was can portal. I saw them carry her through it after I broke the door down but it closed up behind him and I couldn’t follow through it. It’s not Radames. It stinks of ozone in here. The outline of the profile is different from his. Whoever it was is bigger than him. He’s huge.”
I was analyzing everything I remembered when I entered this room. It wasn’t just the scent. The light from the portal just gave me a silhouette of the man who took her, but the man was massive.
“You’re right. It smells like a storm in here, but nothing is wet. If that fucker has some kind of lightning power and electrocuted her, I’ll kill him.”
“Do we think Ivar maybe hulked out, saved her, and she’s back in her dorm room?”
“No. There were only two people in here and Ivar has that man bun. It wasn’t Ivar.”
“Excuse me,” Liam said, marching out of the locker room naked.
Khalid shifted and followed. Fuck me. I didn’t want to follow naked, but someone had kidnapped Sage, so it was an emergency. I know I wasn’t the only one reaching out to her through our bond. She wasn’t answering, which meant she was unconscious.
Someone would pay for that.
“Where are we going?” I demanded.
“There’s only two people who’d want to take Sage. We can’t let on that we know Radames is with Lola since she hasn’t told me, so we are going to see her.”
“Wouldn’t her familiars be able to find her?”Khalid asked.
“Khalid said?—”
“I know. Since we’re bonded now, I can hear him when he’s shifted.”
