“Ditch work early and come home with me. We can spend the afternoon in my bed.”
“I can’t let Gray down. I told him I’d help out. Cam hasn’t been herself lately.”
“I’m not myself when I’m not with you.” His fingers find the hem of my dress and slide up between my thighs, slipping inside my panties with ease to continue pleasuring me. “Come for me, Glory. I want to lick your syrup from my fingers.”
“I’m almost there.” My eyes roll back as he flicks his fingers faster inside me.
This man knows exactly how to work my body. His hand covers my mouth to stifle a moan as my walls clamp down around his digits.
“You’ve gotta be quiet, sprout.”
I hum against his palm, my eyes fluttering open to see the proud smirk on his face.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
My head snaps to the side to see Gray staring right at us.
NOEL
Iremove my hand from under her dress as Gray stomps towards us. “Look. It’s not what it looks—” Before I can finish the sentence, my head’s knocked back against the wooden shed as his fist pummels into my jaw.
“The hell it is. Why else would you have your hand up my sister’s dress?” Gray fists my shirt with both hands, his face reddens, and under the sun, he’s practically glowing.
“Gray, calm down,” Glory shouts. “This isn’t any of your business.” It’s sweet how she’s trying to defend me, but I know I crossed a line and now I’m paying the consequences.
“Stay out of this, Glory.” Gray’s jaw tenses and he flashes her a pained look before focusing back on me, pinning me against the shed. “He’s playing you. Did you know he’s seeing someone else? You thought you could play the field while you’re back in town? You picked the wrong girl, asshole.”
“I’m not playing her.” I push Gray off me and take two steps towards Glory’s confused face. Her eyes are wide, pleading with me for the truth. “There’s nobody else, Glory. Only you.” Every part of me needs to hold her and reassure her she’s the only one.
“Wait, so you’re telling me, the girl you’ve been seeing this whole time is my sister?”
I hang my head low, knowing what’s coming. But what’s the alternative? I either admit the truth and he knows Glory was in the movie the other night, or I lie and tell him I’ve been playing them both and lose Glory for good.
I take a minute to think over my options, hoping there’s another way.
Glory takes the decision out of my hands when she steps forward. “Yes, we’ve been seeing each other for a while now. We’re both adults, Gray. I’m not a kid anymore.”
His face screws up. The way he stares at me with such disappointment presses on my chest. The weight of his disdain crushes my lungs, making it hard to breathe. “That little movie you made was my sister?”
I don’t speak. My silence is enough to confirm what he already knows.
There’s a tremble in Glory’s voice when she says, “You told him about our movie?”
“No, he saw it when he turned on the TV.”
She gasps, covering her mouth with her palms. Her already flushed cheeks burn brighter.
“You’re a sick bastard.” Gray turns away from me, focusing on Glory. “You knew he was filming you and you let him?”
“Yes. We’re adults, Gray. It’s nothing to do with you.”
“The hell it is.” He un-balls his fist, but only to point a finger in my direction. “What I want to know is, what are your intentions with my sister? You told me you weren’t gonna stay with the girl in that movie.”
Glory sniffles next to Gray. When I look up, tears spill from her eyes. I can’t bear to see her sad. I have so much to say but the words all clog in the back of my throat and I can’t form them in the right order to convey what I feel for her.
Gray puts his arm around Glory, comforting her. It should be me. “What are you gonna do about the baby?”
I lift my head. Baby? My head scrambles to do the math. We haven’t been together long enough to have produced a baby. Have we?
