My little fox is stunned. Her eyes are wide like saucers under the spotlights of the kitchen. I caress her cheeks with my thumbs, then peck her lips again. “I wish I didn’t have to go. Do you know how much I fucking want you right now?”
“I think I know. Assuming that’s not a banana in your pocket.”
A chuckle bursts from my lips. “No, Red. It’s not a banana, but you’ll be feasting on it later, after I’ve dined on you.”
She bites on her lip, sucking in another breath through her teeth. “You’d better hurry back then. You don’t want me going hungry.”
“Fuck. I’ll be back as quick as I can, little fox. You better be ready for me.” I kiss her lips again before peppering kisses all over her face. Tonight I’m going to take my time with her, kiss every freckle on her body and make her sing while I strum her clit with my tongue. Period or not.
“You better go. Dan’s waiting.”
A growl leaves my lips. I know I have to go or we’re gonna be late. But that doesn’t mean I have the strength to leave, especially with my dick like a lead weight and my balls drawn up so fucking tight I’m sure they’re blue. “I’ll see you later.”
She nods with her flushed cheeks; her face covered in a rash where my scruff has scratched her delicate skin, but it only makes her more beautiful with my marks on her body.
With one final peck, I step away, willing my feet towards the door. She watches me go, stunned behind the kitchen counter like a fox caught in a trap.
Stepping into the concrete stairwell of the house, my blood runs cold without her touch. It’s been so long since I had a woman to care for. Too long. We rarely get involved with women in our line of work. Too dangerous to get attached. Now she’s my weakness.
After locking up and resetting the alarm, I make my way down the stairs into the garage, then slip into the passenger seat of Dan’s car.
“What took you so long?” The garage door lifts automatically and the gates open. He shifts into gear and drives into the sun. “We haven’t time for you to wet your whistle.”
I chuckle, pulling my lip between my teeth, still thinking about that electrifying kiss. “If I’d wet my whistle, I’d still be there now, brother.”
He pulls his eyebrows together, shooting me a glance, before zeroing on the road. “Make sure your head’s in the game today. I need you to be thinking with your brain and not your dick.”
“Don’t worry. I know what’s needed.”
He turns the corner, then slows at the traffic lights. “What the fuck is going on with you two, anyway? You sleep in bed together. Don’t you get enough during the night?”
“That’s the first time we’ve kissed.”
His shoulders shake with a silent chuckle. I roll my eyes and stare out the window at the row of trees hiding the houses on the other side of the road. “You’re losing your touch, brother. If she was in my bed, I would’ve fucked her every which way by now.”
“Yeah, well, I’m taking my time with her. She isn’t just some cheap date. And she will never be in your bed. Again. So don’t get any ideas.”
“Fuck. You really do like this one, huh? Is my little brother in love?”
“Shut the fuck up and concentrate on the road.” I stare out at the modern buildings mixed with old as he drives through the city. I don’t know about love, but I’m crazy about her, borderline obsessed even.
“You always had a thing for redheads. What was her name from school? Cherry?”
“Cheryl.”
“Cheryl. Yes, that’s it. You popped her cherry.”
“Can we not discuss my ex-girlfriends right now?”
“What happened to her?”
I shrug my shoulder. “She’s married now with kids.”
“Does she still live in the Lake District?”
“She never came back after all that business with her friend Alison.”
“Ah. Shit, yeah. Kane seems all right now though, don’t you think?”
