Page 25 of Hate Tea Love You

Birds chirp outside the window, stirring me from an amazing dream with Cam. My dick tents under the sheet, and I realise I’m back in my bed.

It wasn’t a dream.

Last night’s clothes are strewn over the floor, but Cam’s not here. My heart plummets to my stomach, wondering where she is. Why didn’t she wake me? She can’t still be on UK time. Will she ever adjust to being here?

After brushing my teeth, I throw on a pair of jeans and go downstairs to find her making tea in nothing but her boy shorts and a baggy t-shirt. She leans over the counter, scrolling through her phone while the kettle boils. Her ass cheeks poke out where her shorts ride up and I itch to run my fingers in the deep crease where her ass and thigh meet.

I clear my throat. “Cam.”

She bristles, spinning around to face me and pulling her t-shirt down over her shorts. “Morning. I’m making tea if you want some.”

“Don’t like Camomile, remember.”

“You seemed to like it last night.” She chews on her plump lip and looks down with a blush creeping up her neck.

“Can we talk about last night?”

Her shoulders cave inwards, and she slumps back against the counter. “No need. We can pretend it never happened if that’s what you want.” She worries her bottom lip, making me want to kiss away all her insecurities.

“I can’t do that, Cam. Not now I’ve had a taste.” I place my hand on the counter, then my other, caging her between my forearms. Stepping closer, her breasts squash against my chest, and I realise she’s not wearing a bra. A low growl escapes as I exhale slowly, fighting the urge to ravish her on the counter.

She sucks in a breath, her body responding to mine like it did last night, and her heart races. I cup her face in my hands, her eyes pleading with me, but for what, I’m not sure.

Her lips part with a tremble as she lifts her chin, and I swoop in to claim her mouth.

The door dings. “Morning, I wasn’t expecting you up after your date last—” Julian stands in the doorway with his mouth open.

I scowl at him. Please don’t rub her up the wrong fucking way or let her know what I was planning all along. Not now we’re finally on the same page.

“I’ll just step outside for a vape.” Gingerly, he closes the door behind him.

Cam’s eyes are wide. “You told Julian to open up?”

“I thought—”

“I know exactly what you thought. You thought we’d still be in bed now for round two. You planned all this?” She waves a hand between us with a glint in her eye.

“I just wanted some time with you. Why didn’t you wake me this morning? Round two would have been pretty fucking amazing.”

“You haven’t slept in your bed for so long, I thought I’d open up and let you have a lie-in.”

I chuckle. “I didn’t plan all this to get my bed back. It’s my summer girl I want back, Cam.”

Her fingertips graze over the scruff on my jaw. “She’s right here, Gray.” Her lips press against mine, and I’m lost in her honeysuckle scent. Like a bee, gathering nectar from a flower, I drink her in, tasting every part of her like tasting the wine of the Gods.

The door dings again. “The date went well, then?” Julian says, but I ignore him this time, only having eyes for my girl.

Cam steps away. “I’ll get dressed.” She saunters towards the back, tugging her shorts down in front of Julian with a sheepish smile on her face.

“Great timing, man.”

“I told you she was into you.” Julian shimmies around the tables, making his way to the counter. “Spill the tea.”

“It was touch and go last night.”

“Is that what you call it these days?” Julian smirks, turning everything on. “Let me make you some tea. It’ll help calm you down.” He nods at the bulge under my jeans.

“Thanks.” I straighten up the chairs and tablecloths.
