"The internet boards seem to think so," I said, taking another sip of my drink.
Liam chuckled. "So that’s what Carl said when he was joking that people were shipping you two so hard."
The waiter brought us another round, and I ordered us food to soak up some of the alcohol.
"So," Liam drawled. "Your first girlfriend ever, not counting Hartleigh. How does it feel? Did you kiss her yet?"
"Of course I did." I snorted. "And I bought her expensive presents."
Liam looked horrified. "Dude, you are so clueless."
"Excuse me?"
"Did you give them to her right after you slept with her?"
I looked at him in shock.
He shook his head. "You're just making her feel like a prostitute, like Julia Roberts inPretty Woman."
I swore again. Was that why she was mad at me? Or was it just her hand?
"I’m assuming she knows all about Hartleigh?" Liam asked.
"More or less," I said.
"And she still wants to be with you even though you have a stalker?" he prodded.
"I guess. I don't know. She cooks for me. She bought me a present." The waiter brought our food. They never gave diners enough food at these high-end restaurants. I would probably have to pick up something more to eat on the way home.
"She bought you a Christmas present?" Liam said, laughing.
"And she wants to throw me a Christmas party," I continued.
Liam almost fell out of his chair laughing. "Chloe's going to drag Jack Frost kicking and screaming into the holidays! I love it!"

Chloe
Iwas sort of glad that I wasn't going to Jack's tonight. I wasn't feeling particularly bubbly. In fact, I was feeling murderous. I wanted to push Hartleigh out the window.
"You need to calm down," Nina said. "You weren't sent home, thankfully. Now we're down to the last four. Don't do anything crazy. Also, don’t say anything to Jack. He seems like the type of person to go completely ballistic. He'll go after Hartleigh, and she'll play the victim. You don't want him to end up in jail."
I saw motion in our bedroom doorway.
"You are a horrible witch!" I screamed at Hartleigh. Hartleigh smirked as Dana peered around behind her.
"Chloe, could I come speak to you for a moment?" Dana asked.
I followed her outside into the hallway.
"Look," the producer said. "You have to cool it with Jack."
"Nothing is happening," I lied. "We're friends."
Dana looked frustrated. "You know, I have quite a bit on my plate right now. I'm sure you've seen the tabloid articles about my brother and me."
I nodded. Talk about family drama.
