My face was beet red. “Don’t! I’ll do it.”
I hastily scooped up the dildos then escaped to my office and stuffed them into a drawer, sitting limply at my desk. Parker came in a few moments later, laptop tucked under his arm.
“About what happened—”
“I’m sorry. I’ll pack my things.”
Parker looked at me. “No, I meant Archer. He’s very inappropriate. You can file a complaint against him. Mace would be happy if his twin was banned from the premises. He could finally work without Archer harassing him.”
After Parker headed to another meeting, I slumped in my chair.
Sadie:So Parker saw my newly acquired dildo collection.
Jasmine:…*shocked face*
Erika:Scuse me! You have a dildo collection? You really are serious about this virginity thing.
Sadie:No, no, and no. It’s Ida. She stuck them in my bag.
Jasmine:I feel like we’re looking at this all wrong. I bet this makes Parker way more likely to sleep with you. The dildos might have sparked his competitive nature.
I peeked in the drawer. The largest dildo was a bright, sparkly pink. It would definitely need the extra-large Frankenstein condom. I shut the drawer. Which size was Parker?

Parker
My brothers were dead silent when I walked into the meeting. The agenda was to tie up loose ends on where Weston and Blade were going to put their company and the maker space. Greg was in town for the occasion. My brothers all watched me as I took my seat.
“Are we going to start the meeting?” I growled.
Mace coughed. I blew out an irritated breath.
“I was thinking,” Remy said, “that we have that land off of Thirteenth where the old shirtwaist factory is. We could use it for the Rural Trust headquarters and the maker space. We could give space to the Harrogate Foundation, too, and they wouldn’t be so cramped in the City Hall building. Weston and Blade could take the top few floors.”
“Meg’s not going to like that she won’t have so much oversight,” I said, making notes.
Archer was looking back and forth between us. Finally he jumped up and exclaimed, “Is literally no one going to acknowledge the neon-rainbow-colored, elephant-sized dildo in the room?”
“Sit down,” Greg said. “I’ve had enough of your hysterics.”
“You didn’t bring one of the dildos with you, did you, Parker?” Garrett asked disapprovingly.
“We are not having this conversation,” I warned. “Can we go back to the task at hand?”
“Remy, you don’t have any Rural Trust events planned. Why do you need all that space?” Greg asked in irritation. “Did I not make myself clear on the last conference call that the Rural Trust is not a black hole into which I chuck money every so often?”
“I just think it can be more than what it is,” Remy said stubbornly. “It could help a lot of people.”
“No. You don’t even have any regular programming.”
“We have the fair, and we’ll run the maker space.”
“You don’t need an entire building to run the maker space. You could do that out of an office in the conference center.”
“No!” Archer shouted.
“We already have the Harrogate Foundation that we donate to. We don’t need another big foundation,” Greg continued.
