"Actually, I don't think we should do that again," I said, nibbling on his lower lip.

"Fuck?"

"No! That every day. In a hearse though? Probably not. It smells a little weird…"

"Man, you had it all wrong!" Archer said cheerfully that evening.

It had taken a while to sign the documents. They still hadn't been finished when Penny and I arrived back at PharmaTech. Sebastian's lawyers had wanted several last-minute changes to a contract. It was three words, but Hunter spent five hours arguing with the law firm about it. The kicker was that Sebastian's lawyers were our brothers Josh and Eric. Hunter had helped them start their firm, so he was especially peeved they were giving him a hard time.

"Nothing like having Svenssons on your side!" Sebastian said as he signed the last document.

"Let's go celebrate!" Penny said.

I wanted to go somewhere private and celebrate some more with Penny. But I supposed business came first.

"The Grey Dove Bistro now has a liquor license!" Hazel said when we walked inside.

"You made a good choice," Ida said, almost falling off her stool.

"Ida's been helping sample the cocktails," Archer explained, offering her his arm.

"I don't need your help, mister!" Ida said and almost tipped over.

"So you're officially a Harrogate resident!" Penny exclaimed, hugging Sebastian.

I tried not to seem outwardly jealous. Then she hugged meandkissed me. I felt much better.

"We need more good-looking men with money in this town," Ida said, following us upstairs to the private dining room. "It's getting a little incestuous with all these Svenssons."

"They're not so bad," Penny said, running her hand through my hair.

"You boys hungry?" Hazel asked. "We have food ready to go."

"I'm always starving," Archer said.

"You're supposed to be helping," Hazel said. "Freeloaders don't just get to eat."

"Halloween-themed cocktail?" Penny asked, taking a tall glass full of black and orange swirls off a tray. "They're called harvest moons."

"Can I just have a normal drink?" I asked.

"Embrace the Halloween spirit," Sebastian said to me.

"Two more days until Halloween!" Penny reminded me as Hazel directed Archer to place trays of fries, sliders, and other bar snacks on the long wooden table.

"How do you handle all the trick-or-treating?" Sebastian asked.

"We split into squads. It’s a whole production," I explained, taking a duck slider.

"Sounds like fun!"

"Morticia and Lilith are running the haunted room in the Victorian house. They'll block off and decorate the foyer so the kids can have an authentic—but shortened—haunted house experience. Everyone has to go by," Penny said excitedly.

"I thought you two were going to be living there now?" Archer said, setting down another tray of food.
