"What are you looking for?" Mace asked, walking into the office from the door on the opposite side, Hunter scowling behind him.

"I hope it's a gift for Penny," Archer said, coming in and flopping down in Hunter's chair.

"Get out of my chair," Hunter snarled. One glare and Archer jumped up into Mace's seat.

"Oh, don't even complain," Archer said to Mace. "You're not working,"

"I was about to!" his twin exclaimed, trying to shove Archer out of his seat.

"Why are all of you in here?" I said, rubbing my temple.

"You don't want me here?" Davy said, looking up at me with ridiculous puppy-dog eyes. His lower lip even trembled.

I sighed. "Fine." I picked him up, setting him on my lap.

"Did I do it right?" Davy said to Archer.

"You did!" Archer said, clapping his hands. Davy broke out into a bright smile. "You're so smart," Archer said. "Have a cookie."

Davy took what appeared to be a leftover Halloween party cookie. He ate it happily, sprinkling crumbs all over my clothes.

"I've been training him!" Archer said proudly.

"You are a terrible person," Hunter said, shaking his head.

"What are you buying Penny?" Weston asked.

"I bought Hazel a whole café," Archer said, spinning around in his chair, "so just throwing it down that that's the gift to beat."

Mace grabbed Archer, trying to shove him out of the chair. "You really need to cut back on the sweets. Hazel is making you fat."

"You take that back!" Archer shouted, jumping up. Mace shoved him aside and sat in his chair.

"Maybe you could buy her some nice baking supplies?" Blade suggested.

"No," Weston scoffed. "You can't do that."

"What do you even know about having a girlfriend?" Archer said, rolling his eyes.

I tapped my pen on the keyboard. "I don't need any of your help."

"You should get Penny some goats," Remy suggested.

"No," Hunter said, not looking up from his screen. "And you better not be in here to beg for farm animals. One of those petting zoo chickens laid an egg in my boot. It's ruined."

"You're lucky I'm trying the carrot approach to make you get your life together," I said to him. "Or there would be a whole goat family in your room eating your sheets right now."

"You should buy her a pony," Blade said, holding out his phone, which displayed a picture of a large black horse.

"Ponies!" Davy said, grabbing my shirt and smearing orange frosting all over it.

"Penny does like horses," I mused.

"You can't buy her a horse," Hunter complained. "Did you not just hear what I just said about farm animals?"

"Watch me," I told him. "And consider this a warning about the goats."
