When we got home, she locked herself in our room and didn’t let me in to get my shit. I wasn’t in the mood to fight with her emotional ass. I left and didn’t see her until Coast’s party, which was four days later.

“We putguns to the face, bitch ass nigga, ain’t nobody safe. Who gon’ die today?”- NBA YoungBoyBeam Effect

It was Coast’s thirty-second birthday and the Fourth of July. We had the luxurious yacht lit like we were at Club Velvet South.Niggas had money and guns in the air while dressed in expensive all white attire, and so did us women. My brother loved a ghetto classy event, so I knew he was proud of the outcome.

I was drunk as fuck and in the mix with the niggas while the videographer captured our hood movie. I was dressed down in a custom mini dress from my homegirl, who was a fashion designer for a lot of top brands. It was sheer white, but you couldn’t see any of my body parts because it was covered in Swarovski crystals. The dress hugged my curves perfectly, and it kept me cool for a hot summer night.

After taking out Coast’s killer right before his birthday, I was feeling untouchable. Therefore, when I looked to my left and saw Sparkle all in Hurricane’s face, dancing while one of the videographers filmed them, I got triggered. Sparkle was on my shit list, and I couldn’t wait until she fucked up with me to show her who I was. I walked away from the niggas, but before I did, I grabbed my bottle of D’usse.

“Bitch, you love being in my nigga face. Move and go find your nigga!” I laughed as I pushed her away from Hurricane.

“I don’t be all in your nigga face, hoe. You know he’s my best friend, so I’ma be around him when you’re not.” She rolled her eyes.

“Girl! The only best friend he has is me. Yo’ ass ain’t good for nothing but running packs and lying.”

“Ha! Bitch, that’s what you think. I could hurt your little feelings if you knew what I did for him as a friend.”

“Hurt my feelings, bitch, so I can slap the fuck out of you!” I roared in her face.

Sparkle looked at Hurricane with her face all balled up.

“You not gon’ say nothing to this bitch?” she whined, causing me to laugh.

“I told you I wasn’t getting in y'all female shit no mo’.” He wrapped his arm around my waist.

“So that mean if I want to beat yo’ ass, I got open range,” I smirked.

My phone vibrated in my clutch purse under my arm, causing me to take my attention off her.

“Bitch, you can try to beat my ass, but I’ma make you put up a fight,” she sassed.

I tuned her out and broke away from Hurricane because he wasn’t even paying attention to either of us. He’d started talking to one of his homeboys who was standing next to him. I took my phone from my bag and checked my phone.

Mula: Meet me on the deck real quick while that nigga occupied.

Me: LOL! Am I in trouble?

Mula: Nah, not this time. Now meet me.

I smiled to myself and walked toward the outside of the yacht. When I stepped outside, the late-night air felt good on my skin. I made my way to the deck and spotted Mula. I stopped for a second, embraced my butterflies, and admired him while he was in his zone. He was smoking a blunt as he looked at the few clouds in the sky.

He was dressed down in a white and gray monogram Louis Vuitton silk shirt, white dress pants, and matching designer sneakers. His wavy hair was faded to the gods, and I saw his jewelry twinkling from a distance in the dark. He turned to where I was coming from when he heard my stilettos clicking on the wooden floor.

“I brought liquor.” I held up my bottle of D’usse.

“Hand it here. You can hit this blunt.” He snickered.

“Coast would have loved this dope ass yacht,” I said when I approached him.

“Yeah, it would have been way more poppin’ if he were alive, too.”

“That’s true. But we got the ones that he loved here. That’s all that matters.” I passed him the liquor and took the blunt from him.

“You right… But what’s up with you? You been straight since the last time we talked? I know you’ve been feeling good about that kill.” He took a shot of the liquor from the bottle.

“Yeah, I’ve been better than ever. I been checking that bitch Sparkle every chance I get. I know she been surprised, but I’m done playing with her ass.” I took a long pull from the blunt and started coughing.
