“Good.”

“Or just forward me any bills for her cousin. Fuck it. It’ll be an anonymous donation she doesn’t need to know about.”

She shot me a dubious look. “Sure, like she wouldn’t be suspicious ofthat.”

“I intend to take care of her, Claire. Whether she’s ready for me to or not.”

“Spoken like an Orlov,” she muttered. “I’m only going to give her the resources to consider. Should she move her cousin to the hospice facilities, perhaps we can all support her—financially and as a… friend of the family.”

I nodded, grateful my father had taken a chance on falling in love with a considerate woman like her.

“Go ahead and talk as long as you want.” I could go visit a few places with Oleg, check in on deals I’d made before I was injured at the ambushed warehouse.

It wasn’t until the next day, then, that I came face-to-face with Sofia.

“How did it go yesterday?” I asked her when she showed up at my office.

In an even shorter skirt and a white sleeveless shirt, she looked absolutely irresistible. Her cleavage threatened the expanse of the crisp fabric stretching over her breasts. The dip of her hips emphasized her curves I wanted to clutch as I held on to her. Every step she took had that soft skirt sashaying and teasing me with the hint of all that smooth skin of her thighs.

“It went well. I didn’t realize that Claire wanted to show me the facilities too. She, um…” She nervously tucked her hair back behind her ear. “She got the idea at the last minute and had some guards escort us so I could have some tours.”

“Good.” I nodded once.

“Sorry for the day off.”

“No worries.”

She smiled. “I’m here to do whatever you need next.” Looking at the piles of papers and clutter she had yet to get through, she was oblivious to my hungry gaze.

What I need?

All right.

Get on your knees and crawl over here, please.

“I need you to accompany me to another tour, actually.” I stood, realizing it might be time to up my game. To seriously seduce her, because this distance between us was wearing on my nerves.

I knew she wanted me.

I heard how desperate she was for me.

After what Claire said, I realized that the boss-employee bond between us was the biggest obstacle yet. Perhaps relocating her to a different setting would give me an advantage.

“Tour?”

I nodded. “Of an office. We’re expanding with some different consultation businesses and I won’t be in charge of the startup. Roman found a place uptown for it, though, and I should check it out.”

It was an excuse. A big, fat excuse to get her out of this house with me. But she didn’t question my decision.

“Should I… um…” She furrowed her brow, looking around the room. “What should I do?”

“Come.”

On my dick. In my hand again. How about on my tongue?

“Come with me,” I corrected after a sexy blush stole over her cheeks.

Yeah, you alreadyhavecome for me, haven’t you?
