Her voice tightens.

She shakes her head.
“I was so focused on him…”
She gestures toward the captured Architect.
“…I didn’t see the second one moving ahead of us.”
Boone gently lowers the laptop screen.
“Hey.”
She looks up.
“I missed it,” she says quietly.
“People could die because I missed it.”
Boone shakes his head.
“No.”
“You didn’t miss it.”
“You found it.”
“Too late.”
“Not yet.”
Her eyes search his face.
“You really believe that?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because we’re still standing here.”
He takes her hand briefly.
“And because we’re not done yet.”
For a moment—
The panic in her eyes softens.
Just slightly.
Then River steps forward again.
“We don’t have time.”
He gestures toward the helicopter.
