“Good afternoon, ma’am. My name is Kristoph DeVine King.”

“How polite,” Rosemary said.

The baby in Rosemary’s arms turned her gaze from her mother to Kristoph the second she heard his voice, then reached out for him. Kristoph looked at Uriel, then at Rosemary, who smiled.

“I see Hope has taken a liking to you. Do you mind holding her?”

“I’ve never held a baby before,” Kristoph said.

“It’s really easy,” Rosemary said. “Come on, let’s go into the kitchen so that I can check on lunch. Also, Blue and Khray are in the kitchen with a surprise waiting for you.”

“I thought I’d heard Khray had left?” Uriel asked. “I found it weird because he’d want to stay by Blue’s side.”

“Yes, he went back to Valleywood to take care of a few things and returned last night. It’s hard to stay away from your mate, especially after you’ve just mated,” Rosemary said with a wink.

“I know how he feels.” Azazel circled a hand around Uriel’s waist and buried his face in his neck, placing a sweet kiss next to his hair.

Uriel lightly tapped him on his arm, looking at Azazel over his shoulder. “Stop, we’re not at home.”

“It’s nothing Rosemary hasn’t seen before.”

“What about our son? Isn’t he too young to see us kissing?”

“Look at his face. Does he look shocked at us hugging, or does he look happy?”

Uriel looked at Kristoph who was grinning from ear to ear. “It’s cool, Dad, it’s not the first time I’ve seen you guys kiss.”

Kristoph pulled out his cellphone and showed them a picture of them kissing in the living room yesterday. The kiss was very innocent, however Uriel felt his face heat up remembering the events that had followed for the rest of the night. He still carried the lingering effects of their lovemaking and wanted to go back home as soon as possible to do it all over again.

“Make yourself known next time,” Uriel chastised his son. “It’s not good to spy on your parents when they are making out.”

“Nope, I want to capture moments like this,” Kristoph said, taking back his phone.

“Be careful, kid, you might walk in on something you shouldn’t see.” Uriel froze when he heard a familiar voice enter the room. He hadn’t spoken to Donald since the day his son told Uriel to leave him alone. Uriel’s heart was beating loudly in his chest. He was certain everyone next to him could hear it.

“I…” Uriel started.

“Don’t run from this,” Azazel whispered in his ear. “He’s your son and you both need to talk.”

“You knew he was going to be here,” Uriel whispered.

“Dad, don’t get angry,” Kristoph said.

Uriel pulled away from Azazel and looked at his youngest son and then at his mate. Anger rose inside of him, as well as betrayal. “You two planned this?”

“It was my idea,” Donald said.

Uriel looked at him for the first time and noticed that, even though his voice hadn't changed, his features had. He was still handsome and resembled an adult version of Kristoph. He also noticed the glow surrounding Donald, along with the small baby bump.

He’s pregnant again.

“Kristoph, how about you and I go into the kitchen and I’ll introduce you to Blue and Khray," Rosemary said as she walked toward the kitchen. "From what Donald brags about, you’re going to be working with Blue.” Only, Kristoph didn’t follow after her.

“Wait,” Uriel said. “You two know each other? How?” Uriel looked at Kristoph, knowing that however their meet-and-greet came about, it was his idea. “You know what? Forget it. Just know that you’ll be grounded for two weeks.”

“Him or me?” Donald asked.

“What? Why would I ground you?” Uriel asked.
