Azazel leanedagainst the cell door, watching Uriel go ham on Gadriel. Hard fist connecting with flesh, Azazel would be surprised if Gadriel didn’t have a few additional broken bones.

They had been at it for about two hours, and not one question had been asked. The second Uriel saw Gadriel, he started beating the shit out of him. Gadriel, for his part, looked surprised to see Uriel and Azazel together. Azazel knew that he had to stop Uriel soon or he’d end up killing the dark angel before he got any answers.

“Baby, you might want to let up on him for a bit.”

“The fuck I will! Azazel, do you know how much karma I saved up for this moment?”

“Well, don’t waste it. We still need to deal with the others first.” Azazel stood and walked into the cell, pulling Uriel off Gadriel. “Cool down for a bit while I talk to him.”

Uriel looked down at himself and scowled at how messy he was. “I’m going to clean up. Don’t kill him before I get back.”

“I’ll leave that honor to you, my love.”

Azazel watched Uriel leave the cell and listened for his receding footsteps, then turned and looked at Gadriel. The once handsome and charming man looked terrible, with blood running down his face, open wounds, and scars. Azazel's eyes trailed down to Gadriel’s legs that were useless to him.

“Fuck, Gadriel, look what you have become,” Azazel said. “I’m sure this wasn’t part of your plan.”

Gadriel slowly raised his head. “What do you want?”

“To make a deal. I’ll set you free if you tell me everything I want to know,” Azazel said.

Gadriel stared at him for a few minutes before he spoke. “You’ll set me free?”

“Yes.”

“I’ve been around you for a long time, so pardon me if I don’t believe you,” Gadriel said.

“Ask yourself this, have I ever lied to you?”

"Not that I know of." Gadriel furrowed his brows and looked down at his hands.

"How about it, answer my questions and I'll set you free from this cage. I'll heal your wounds and make you good as new."

"I'll tell you everything under one condition," Gadriel said.

"What's that?"

"You'll forgive me. Since you locked me in here I've been thinking about my actions. My lord, I've wronged you, and I want to make things right."

Is this fucker trying to pull one over on me? "Do you think you're in any position to ask me for something like that?"

"And you setting me free is supposed to be what? A call back to our friendship? What don't you get, I hate you," Gadriel sneered.

"Dammit, I was trying to play nice, but you still like to push my buttons." Azazel sighed.

"That's your problem, you're too nice. At least Dio has a fucking backbone."

"Before I kill you, don't say I didn't give you a chance to do something good for once in your life."

Azazel moved quickly and pressed his hand to Gadriel's forehead and extracted the information he needed painfully. Gadriel was weak, so Azazel wasn't sure how much he would get. It was the same method he'd used the last time, but Gadriel was stronger a few days ago than he currently was.

"Tell me about the weapon you designed. The one you used to torture my mate ."

Gadriel howled the more Azazel squeezed his head, and he was able to slip into his mind easily. Azazel didn't muck around, looking for the information he needed. The first thing that Azazel saw was Dagon and Gadriel standing in his and Uriel's bedroom.

"Are you sure this will work?" Gadriel asked.
