Dagon sighed. “Why didn’t he tell me?”

“What part of secret don’t you fucking understand?” Azazel snapped then calmed; he didn't want Dagon to hear the killing intent in his tone. “What else did you want to discuss with me?”

“My lord, I spoke with Stanley Paul and he told me you fired him. I think you should reconsider.”

Azazel thought back on the name and recalled the man who kept speaking up in the meeting the night before. Azazel didn’t have a good impression of the man and found him very annoying.

“I fired him, so there’s nothing to reconsider.”

“But my lord, he’s very good at his job,” Dagon said.

“When have I ever changed my mind about something, Dagon? And why are you calling me about this?”

“Although I am in the president’s seat, my lord, you are the one who has the final say in all matters. However, I disagree with this one.”

Azazel didn’t want to discuss the matter any further. He was trying his very best not to reach through the phone and kill Dagon with his bare hands. The man had no clue that he was on borrowed time.

“Is that it?” Azazel asked.

Dagon didn’t speak for a few seconds. “Yes, my lord.”

“I’ll be clearing up the Blue Lennox matter pretty soon, so wait for my call. I’ll need you at the press conference.”

Azazel didn’t wait for his response and hung up, throwing his phone to the side.

“I like seeing you in boss mode.” Uriel went to his knees and kissed him on the side of his mouth. “It’s very sexy.”

Azazel grabbed him around his waist and pulled him onto his lap, capturing his mouth. Azazel’s body had been on fire since the night before, and he felt like it was only a teaser. He could feel their bond strengthening, and he couldn’t wait to complete their mating. Azazel was about to pull Uriel’s towel open but paused when he felt someone peering down at them, followed by the clearing of their throat. Azazel cracked one eye open, then closed it again when he saw Loki standing beside them.

Azazel waved his hand, telling his friend to go away.

“You can’t send me away, Azazel,” Loki said, and Uriel instantly pulled back from their kiss.

“Fuck! What the hell are you doing here?” Uriel snapped.

“Stopping you both from making me sick.” Loki scowled.

“Go away, you’re not wanted here,” Uriel said and got off Azazel’s lap. He walked over and grabbed the bag that Azazel had brought, and looked between him and Loki, then snarled in apparent disgust. “Make sure he’s gone when I get out of the bathroom.”

Loki growled like a rabid dog, then glared at Azazel. “Are you fucking kidding me? I thought we agreed you were going to move on from him.”

“You want me to give up on my mate?” Azazel rolled his eyes.

“But… he left you.”

“Not everything was how it seemed,” Azazel said.

Loki sighed. “I was really pulling for an AzTan ship?”

“AzTan? What the hell is that?” Uriel asked, walking out of the bathroom.

“Baby, ignore him.” Azazel walked over to Uriel and pulled him into his arms and kissed him on his cheek. “He’s just salty that he doesn’t have a lover. If you like Tanner, why don’t you go after him?”

“He’s not my type,” Loki said. “Anyway, is anyone going to tell me why you’re in the hospital?”

“How are you able to teleport? I thought you were powerless,” Uriel asked.

“It’s none of your business,” Loki snapped.
